There was an aggressive batsman in him which he did not bring out in his playing days. Krish Srikkanth and Ravi shastri who played with him are in the commentry box.
All time great Sir Sunil Gavaskar...Most of his centuries are out of india..on grassy fast pitches against some of the most lethal fast bowlers cricket has ever produced
yes ravi shastri daru pina Bachpan se start kiya tha ....he started drinking when he was 16 and become( bewada) drunker at same time when he started commentry
It’s easier to hit older bowlers in old age . Gavaskar was very slow in his younger days . Gavaskar couldn’t face West Indies in younger days . His score was 2 in India west indies final in World Cup . Pathetic player
Exactly. Terrible player but in his time there was no competition and they needed 11 players atleast to have a complete team. Bahut wahyaat aur bakwaas tareen batsman thaa
Slowest top batsman ever in India . Strike rate was never an issue during his time and that’s why he escaped criticism at that time . Imagine what kind of insults he will get now for scoring < 40 runs from beginning to end of one day innings But now the headstrong & arrogant SG as a commentator/ critic is ever ready to pounce on KOLI for the occasional slow RR . Those who lived their entire lives in glass house should watch very carefully before throwing stones on others . I will pay good money to watch ST, VK, RS, SKY, Sehwag, and even freshers like YJ bat in T20 or one day though they may fail to score big sometimes . But I will never watch SG score at his usual snail’s place ( irrespective of the format of the game) 😊even if the admission is free and I am paid the airfare for travel
