In 2017 I met Sunil sir here in Barcelona. Really he is so humble and real gentleman.

when gavaskar speaks he is really precise and to the point, its really a pleasure to listen to him speak.

There is only one Gawaskar. I remember him in test matches in Pakistan, what a reflections he got, his resilience, his cover drive ... and his very special signature stance of leaving the bouncer so close to his nose with such a confidence.

Rambo asks good questions and gives time to his guests. It is very important to have this quality when you interview a legend like Sunil Gavaskar, who we Pakistanis have been missing a lot since the cricket is suspended between two countries.

Listening to all the greats like Imran Khan, Viv Richards, Zaheer Abbas etc. All have to say wonderful things about Sunil Gavaskar. He's easily one of the best test batsmen from his era and probably India's best ever test batsman.

Nice coversation between Ramiz Bhai and Sunny Bhai. Heart warming to see the love and respect Mr Gavaskar has throughout the World. Not just alltime greatest opening batsman in the World, but a great human and a very down to earth personality. I am a portrait artist. During the World Cup 2007 i had an exhibition of Sachin Tendulkars portraits in Port of Spain ( West Indies). I have just completed a project on Mr Sunil Gavaskar, trying to have exhibition in near future. During the World Cup in England last year Sunny Bhai inspite his busy schedule as a comentator, took out his valuable time to inaugurate my exhibition in London ( Portraits of alltime 25 Indian Cricket Legends), was just more than a dream come true for me.

In 1978, when India visited Pakistan, Maharaja Gaekwad was the manager of Indian team. He had a nice watch which Gavaskar liked a lot. Maharajah promised if he makes two hundreds in the series, he will get the watch as a prize. Sunil got out in Lahore in nineties and was very upset. Maharajah consoled him and said you will still get the watch, not to worry. Sunil replied, one more test to go, and I will make two hundreds in that test. He literally scored hundreds in each of the innings, though India still lost the test courtesy some crazy last minutes batting by Imran and Javed. This was the level of determination of Sunil Gavaskar. Interestingly, he went on to make two more hundreds in the first test of the next series against West Indies. So in all he scored four 100s in four consecutive innings. I am not sure if he is the only one to carry this record.
