Sunlu ABS-like is really the only resin I'll use now.

After I first tried it, it's all I use now. It's very similar to sirya-tech in terms of speed and lack of smell but slightly better toughness for much less money.

I've used sunlu and been very happy with the results. Even going as small as 6-8mm scale, they print nice and are pretty durable.

This was my goto mini resin for a long time, but its been out of stock on Amazon (canada) for ages now. So I've switched to the somehow even cheaper Elegoo ABS-Like V3 and it's been pretty comparable in terms of output, but took quite a bit of time to get the settings dialed in just right where it would print reliably. Might be worth a review, but if you do, expect to have to crank up the first layer times a lot, and don't go too low on the normal layer times as this resin likes to fail in mysterious ways if you do so. Buuuut I mean, at the end of the day the results are good looking and feel a lot like the Sunlu stuff.

I picked up a couple of litres of this when I first got my printer, with the idea that I could get the hang of printing with the cheap stuff, and move on to the more high detail rugged stuff when I knew what I was doing. I've printed mainly 10mm Warmaster minis and Battlefleet Gothic ships, and with the detail I've been getting - things you can barely see with the naked eye that are printing very cleanly once you can get a good zoomed in photo - and pretty rugged too - I had to *throw* the sacrifical drop test Sword Class Frigate at a stone floor to get it to break - I've never seen any reason to use anything else. It's cheap, does everything I need it to, and doesn't smell half as much as some other resins.

great review, unfortunately i've had the same issue with printed vehicles not fitting together with a number of resins. what have you found works best?

Yep, this pretty much perfectly matches my experience with the stuff. I used to be a Siraya Tech Fast Navy Grey guy, but now that I'm only printing for myself, and doing a lot of transporting of my minis, I've switched over almost entirely. I once managed to get this stuff on sale for under $14/kg. You just can't beat that value for an all-around good resin.

Even their standard resin has some decent durability, way more than any other standard resins I've tried. It may be better for the bigger models

I'd say "anything not Elegoo" but I had a particularly bad experience with that brand and have since been told I've become a "hater"

I have a Mars 4 Ultra for the last year and it’s amazing. Great price point, excellent performance. If you have the budget go for the Saturn. I wish I had gone for the extra footprint, silly me thinking I print mostly 10mm stuff so smaller plate would be fine 😂 I’m going to aim for as a turn in the new year

@@Darker1208 That's a shame to hear. My go-to line has always been 'only Elegoo, because even if the Anycubic and Phrozen printers are of equal quality, only Elegoo will actually give proper customer support.' I've had Elegoo replace parts out of warranty, as well as send multiple parts rather than waste my time with back and forth in email chains trying to pinpoint exactly what's broken. It does sound like things have gone a bit downhill lately, but I do love my Saturn 4 Ultra.
