Growing up as a child in the late 60s, I developed voracious love for KSA not for his music alone but for anything that has to do with him. I cherished his photo albums like no man business. I had the privilege of seeing him physically but periodically each time he came around in his Mercedes Benz WD 6844 to see Wasca, one of his best friend in Ile Ife. My friends know me as an ardent fan of this man to the point that I can recognise his new release by mere sound of his guitar. I can name most of his albums and year of release. I just pray that God grants him long life, divine health and fitness of joy.
Where I'm I when this record came out, bought and played for the listening enjoyment of the elites and those that can afford them of which my dad, may his soul rest in perfect peace was counted. I wonder which kind of music I personally would listen to , to relieve my self of boredom that characterized every facet of our national lives.Kodus to our parents that opened our eyes to this beautiful eotk of arts
Respect to BABA KSA, this is one of your best album no doubt. Kudos to you sir and your lead guitarist Bob Aladeniyi. U so very much understood yourselves with the strings. Long life to you all🙏
I am so happy to listen to this album ( Ile labo sinmi oko/ Dr Sehindemi) after many many years. If my memory can still carry me this record was the 2nd 20 minutes non-stop record of then Sunny Ade(before being KSA) after Sunny ti de, e sinmi ariwo pelu agbaja. I remember the record came out along with Obey's 2nd 20 minutes non-stop Board Members when I was preparing for my School Certificate Exams in 1971. I am glad to hear it again. God bless the King always. I will be glad if KSA can put Sunny ti de on You tube but most importantly he should release all his old records with African Songs LP and EP since he has won the case against the recording company. God bless the King.
My late father, Honorable Alarape Lawal , said he attended this party in London obviously in the company of the Adesokans, Bunmi Alaka, baba Rashid Asagidigbi RIP, egbon Goke Salami RIP, brother of Chief Lekan Salami RIP, my father's sociological cohort and fellow politician/ Member of Parliament. It was a life well lived. God rest the souls of all that have departed.
A talented man. He represents the best of my Yoruba culture in music. He sings in straight Yoruba language of our culture that is found in Nigeria, Republic of Benin, Togo, Ghana, Brazil, Cuba, other Caribbean Islands. His music is evergreen and are treasures. I have followed your music since I was a kid. Good Job.
