To be fair Sunny’s dad had a point. Even if it was an accident they proceeded to make it look like suicide. Instead of telling an adult about it which, to be fair I guess they didn’t wanna go to jail or get in trouble, they decided to just make it seem like she killed herself.

They have favourites for some reason, in the omari au I'm pretty sure no parent leaves mari when she did almost the same thing as sunny. Though people may change it up I think no parent would leave her since she's the favourite. Which is really sad to think about. And i guess they were panicking, basil didn't want sunny to go to jail so he came up with the plan. Sunny was probably just following along with basil cus he was on autopilot
