It was a lot longer in their discord. You can kinda see it here, but I would ask questions and they would be deflected or blatantly ignored. Majority of this footage was in the last hour of their "press conference." The preceding conversation was an attempt at Sunnyvale focusing on "what mods will be added on the next update," "What mods do the community want," and other irrelevant things to try to be avoidant of the real matter at hand.

100% this. You never ever EVER bend over to threats and attacks and hackers. I've been running servers since the 90s and the one thing you never do is make concessions for what is essentially online terrorism. You ride the storm out, you accept that your server gets kicked offline for weeks or even months. The attackers always lose interest and move on eventually. If you show signs of weakness, or if you bow down to them, they get a taste for your blood and they will never go away.

Only cheaters think that calling out cheaters is shitty. That's the problem. Some admins think like cheaters and even protect cheaters. They practically work for cheaters and the bloody owner of the server is a cheater.

Not only that but for forever I will advise everyone and anyone I meet online to avoid Sunnyvale like the plague. There needs to be a complete boycott of their servers by all honest players. Let the cheaters cheat each other if they really must do it. Let all cheaters move to Sunnyvale and stay there.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, Anarchy exposes a DayZ community and they try to deflect by saying not all of his bans are justifiable and actually avoid saying anything about working with cheaters. Edit: This video got over 4k views over night and I hope this video will be everywhere so it can possibly force Sunnyvale to tell the truth. 2nd Edit: I didn't realize that Anarchy put this video in the description of his new video.
Supposedly the cheater essentially has owner-level privileges on the server. My question is how the player would be able to get that without being identified by the server owner/admin because there are often logs that are kept for admins that do things such as spawn in weapons. The contradictive answers from the Sunnyvale staff provoked me to post this and allow everyone to think on their own accord. If you look up "Dayz backdoor hacking" on youtube you'll find an example of how I think a player could possibly get that access. I personally think the staff would have been transparent about the problem if they weren't somehow benefitting from the cheater, because they would want to stop the attacks and rid themselves of cheaters.
@@IcyYou So when Anarchy said that they were working with cheaters or at least benefitting from them, he was just making an assumption based on common server/logs knowledge and whatnot? There's no way that they can't differ cheaters with owner/admin privileges from their actual staff team, there has to be logs of some sort showing that a player has spawned in something or whatever they end up doing. It's a shitty staff/server/community/ignorant, their anti-cheat sucks, or they're scummy. It's just how I see it based on the information in the video.
@@_Astraeus_ I could see someone somehow finding an exploit in the enfusion engine to be able to exploit on every server, however I think it's pretty unlikely. I don't want to put words in Anarchy's mouth; obviously there must be mutual benefit to keep the cheater on the server. I can't say if that is monetary or if it's because they were trying to lessen the overall destruction of their server. That's something you gotta decide for yourself. There was also more evidence that Anarchy has posted on his RU-vid channel when it happened. Take a look at it and judge for yourself. I might toss together a video for what went on a little more in-depth, but it'll probably be a while before it's done if I do.

I mean, after watching Anarchy's video just now, and seeing the server owner's chat with one of the cheaters, agreeing to allow them to keep playing until someone got overwhelming evidence against them, I'd have to say the server owner is very corrupt. Had a friend get banned on there a while back for charging back a donation for the vehicle insurance thing, that they wouldn't allow him to even use. He contacted the man on facebook(using his name from the paypal transaction of the donation) to try to talk to him about getting unbanned, and man got him banned from a lot of servers through a global ban list for "Doxxing". Trash, plain and simple. He's removed from the global ban list now, and able to play most servers, but this should tell you what kind of scumbag this guy really is.
Yes the content bought him a home, like most youtubers, this is his job and income, so why would he risk it all by lying? Why is what he buys with money he's earned from his job coming into this? Catching cheaters is the most important thing admins can do on dayz.If the servers are full of cheaters your player numbers will drop. He is the reason most of the people play on those servers.
Can confirm. Their server was one of the ones I played a while ago and this guy was outside a building and knew exactly where I was every time I moved, he shot through the wall and killed me. . Thought maybe I just got unlucky but I respawned and within 10 mins I saw a guy super speeding towards me, same guy. Managed to hide in a building and shotgunned his face and luckily killed him as he ran in. When I called them out a guy teleported to me (admin) and they said he wasn’t cheating and promptly banned me for “not reading the rules”

Wow, me and my group are going back to DayZ and had considered the SunnyVale servers but after seeing Anarchy's vids and other info on reddit, we will no longer be considering them.
I only ever played Sunnyvale a handful of times because Anarchy was an admin there. The servers are full of toxic players and cheaters. I bet there's a ton of other unbanned cheaters there, too. Part of me wonders how many staff have cheater alts. I'm not saying they're all bad but I've been in communities with issues like Sunnyvale and I guarantee there's a bunch of rotten eggs.
Its so sad that these servers and admins are getting worse. I got banned on their discord from saying "they banning people for calling them out" when one of my clan members got banned too for talking about this in general discord chat lol. They a bit power hungry
I was banned from their discord for posting this video. Understandable, but if they weren't okay with this being wide-spread, they shouldn't have responded to the questions publicly. I'd be all for letting them explain their side of the story to make a video, but I have a feeling they would decline the offer.

So taking Anarchy politics out of the equation; you still unban and work with hackers who we've seen video evidence of using cheats. Basically you lied to your community to protect your server but not the players. You allowed the players to believe that you had a zero tolerance policy for cheating but decided a little cheating (as a treat) is the secret standard. You either do not have the skill, the manpower, or the moral standing to run a server. You negotiate with hackers because you dont have the skill to stop them, Anarchy left so no more manpower, and you consider hacking and blatant hacking two different offenses - no moral standing.

Sorry but after running ARMA 3 Servers for quite some time the admins here either have no idea or are lying the database would log those actions or if you actually could script you would be running a script that disallows those actions you described like teleporting (move =x-mph < 100mph = kick) and obviously with some exclusionary (if>vehicle) clauses to prevent false kicks whilst in a vehicle and in regards to moving bases you would have a clause of (move=1 wall
I've always been blown away by how there aren't scripts that detect exactly as you describe, overspeed outside a vehicle; literally impossible shots (genuinely, pistol > rare meters = add a token, get too many impossible shot tokens and it just gets rid of them). The mod that I wanted to see is same as (the other channel with a rust mod/admin) - the script doesn't ban people, it just makes them do no damage.
@@frollard there are we use to implement them on my old arma servers yeah there was a few bugs and took a lot of fine tuning because of lag and de sync but for the most part they were effective
i'm not surprised they did this, there's rumors of other server admins doing the same thing. some of these people spend a lot of money on the server and vip stuff etc while cheating
This whole thing sucks. Sunnyvale 11 was the first server I found that I liked since I moved to PC. Ive havent played much in the past week so I missed all those hacks but the fact their cooperating with the hackers and unbanning them to play on their servers is ridiculous. why play on a server that you know will favor hackers? Them giving into the hackers to "save" their servers will just invite more hackers
This was happening already 10 years ago at Sunnyvale. I was hanging with Slime, and i forgot her name, but that admin chick from Sunnyvale was doing us favours all the time. Then she got caught, and went over to the Krypton servers. We all got banned of course from Sunnyvale, so went to Krypton. First night on the server, we were back at it doing the same thing. SO, there you have it. All the servers have corrupt admins it seems.
Sure. If you're going to do any sort of analysis, I'd appreciate if you do at least explain the possibility that sunnyvale may just be trying to save their server because of a cheater that found a game-wide exploit. Personally, I think agreeing to work with a cheater in any way will kill your server anyways and they shouldn't have agreed to.
@@IcyYou for sure its a bad situation all around, i posted the link to ur vid to the few people i know still playing there. that said i dont blame them but they picked the easy road. there were other options than to just give in, but i dont blame anyone i just think things like this are happening on a MASS scale (cheater/dupers for hire) and some of the empires that sort of thing bring to light is somthing i think is important for everyone to know. its extorsion at its most basic level and its sad to see sunny put in that position. but a lesson for other server owners and communities alike

There is no exploit ingame that would cause an admin too become corrupt lol

Why would someone just leave in a malicious way and want out after they have "got a house out if it"? That makes no sense. If the moan is that Anarchy was just "making content", that content (amongst others) drew me to DayZ. It seems the guys that he recently banned (for ESP) gets unbanned and whitelisted? I'm now thinking why bother playing if it's turning into pay to win?
That was the point of me making this video. I rolled with a group on these servers a while ago and quit because suspicious stuff would constantly happen to me and my group was kinda just dismissive of it. I won't mention names, but my group ended up donating long after I left and I felt sickened to bring them the news they were supporting an illegitimate dayz server.

I quit playing on Sunnyvale's server 8 months ago, cause of the Cheating and kept on seeing these cheaters back on a week later after being banned. It's all making since now

I played this server with my friends for about a month or so, but we were killed in SUS ways so many times, most often trough closed doors / windows or like 1km kills through an entire forest etc. and that was in 2023 XD :D

@@cazzyt it might not be directly bohemia related, look up "dayz backdoor hacking problem" and you'll see one of the many ways this could happen. There are also numerous faults with the systems surrounding the engine. Personally I do think it's exploitation of something integral to the game if they have the level-of-access they claim on every server, but I've been wrong before.

I got a house in Sunnyvale right now, he knew they were on some funny shit, nd I knew they were on some funny shit, they banned my whole clan for no reason ( just to ask questions about certain situations, then they unbanned some of us cause they knew they were wrong, and also yes they may ban cheaters but also the ppl who pay big money are allowed to use cheats, then they try to say oh we can't track the cheaters, but we can track the other cheaters no problem

Sounds like server name needs to be changed from "" Sunnyvale """ To "" Hackersvale "" I don't know of to many player's that are going to play on a server that allows cheaters / hackers to rule it . Only time will tell .

dont actually know the full situation but seems like a mass argument on what each side is focused on, regardless if they are selling or giving things for IRL money that breaks TOS for the game or steam services or discord services than they should be fined and banned. on top of which if these people are DDosing/ or using malicious programs to do damage to the players/servers its a federal offence.
