Sunrise at Thor's Stone, Thurstaston 

Absolutely stunning place to visit in the morning! And evening actually. I used to visit this place often as a child, but it's still very much worth a visit if you're on the Wirral. Distinguished Liverpool historian Sir James Picton believed the stone had been a place of Viking worship, where festivities and nocturnal assemblies were held in honour of the Nordic god, Thor.
