Great vid as always....but I've found a double strand uni knot works best for direct to the hook or lure connection with FLOURO vs a Palomar knot...Palomar knot seems to dig in more...I've lost 95 % less fish with the uni knot....but I do use Palomar all day with straight braid

I've just been recently falling you over the last few weeks and have watched multiple videos now love your content a lot of action everything from black drum to Snook to Jack's and so on however you do lose a lot of gear hooks jigs poppers and what have you you must have to go with metal leaders or bigger mono because my opinion you're using really small gear for the fish you're actually catching I guarantee some of these catches that you lose these lures and jigs are easy 30 lb Plus and a lot have teeth that cut right through the mono you fish the way you want I understand but in each video you lose at least three hooks lures jigs or whatever that's not good bro you shouldn't be losing any unless you're getting hung up in a rock or tree now these fish are swimming around with lures stuck in them. Almost as bad as noobs going offshore catching 10s or 20s of shorty red snapper and seeing them float all around their boats because they don't know how to vent them properly every fish they bring up eventually died not saying the hooks will kill these fish especially depending on how they were hooked and lures and jigs with multiple hooks is really bad. For someone who knows so much kind of seems you know so little I understand why you use what you use it's easier it's less stiff less visible and so on. But you cannot be losing 46 hooks or more everyday you fish by the fish.

I was very disappointed at 43:00 You stated the fish wasn’t really alive so you would cut him half and use his bait.. I get it. The fish was close to death, but definitely not dead and you should do the humane thing and put the fish out of its misery prior to cutting him in half and then hooking him in the eyeball… Come on man

I have that same reel. I love it. It's so much smoother than my peen reels, but it's not sealed. I put rinse mine and put 2 drops of oil in after each use.
