It’s crazy nobody cares about multiple coach firing when it’s KD and Gianni’s but when it Lebron the whole world loses their head. Giannis is on his 3rd coach in one year and KD had 6 coaches in 6 years.

Lets bring Vogel back. We shouldnt have fired him in the first place

Suns should’ve kept Monty Williams, Bucks should’ve kept Budenholzer, Pacers should’ve kept Vogel, and the list goes on. I wish these NBA teams would not be so quick to fire a quality head coach.

Everybody tries to downplay the Lakers championship in the bubble when they forget that the Lakers were like a top four seed in the west before the pandemic even came, so they were already on a roll to win the championship that year regardless!

Vogel is a good coach but I always thought a bad fit in Phoenix

The people who don't watch the Bucks probably don't know this, but Bud was a terrible playoffs coach. AMAZING regular season coach, but TERRIBLE playoffs. They should've won at the very least 2 championships while he was there, but he was just so bad at making adjustments. He's one of those oldheads who won't change, they'll do it their way & their way only. One of his defensive strategies was, focus on the paint while giving up 3s, because 3s are less efficient. I mean it makes sense, but in this day & age, where teams mostly shoot 3s anyways, that's a lot of open 3s you're giving up. The Bucks were the worse 3pt defending team his first 4 years there, & he didn't attempt to fix it until his last year (but he went back to his old ways during the playoffs). This tactic hurt majorly come playoff time, you're giving teams like the Raptors, Heat, Celtics, open 3s, that's a good way for opposing teams to either gain a big lead or come back from a big lead. The Bucks should've won in 2019, but Bud got outcoached by Nurse. They won the first 2 games, then Nurse made adjustments, & Bud was never able to answer those adjustments. And then last year 2023 against the Heat, the last two games while the Heat got hot in the 4th quarter, I believe they came back from a double-digit lead in the 4th quarter during both of the last two games, Bud never called a timeout to stop their run! Had they not won the chip in 2021, he was already on the verge of getting fired that season too, that chip saved him a couple more years.

Last time I checked the other teams had the same opportunity in the bubble as the lakers did so that 2020 championship counts.

They didn’t give the man a real point and they fired him. Disgusting!!!

Why is Paul laughing cause the Lakers won the Championship in the bubble? It was an NBA season and the players and league voted on it. Nobody laughs when you mention that the Spurs won a championship during strike season or that Tampa won a Super Bowl during the pandemic when there was no fans in the stand. As the sun's fan I feel sick but because of the amount of money we paid players and the amount of draft picks we've traded away it really wasn't nothing else you can do after getting swept and looking terrible in the first round. I honestly couldn't understand why we fired Monte.

It's funny how they try to discount the bubble tile but let it been another team the narrative would've been it's an amazing thing. In my opinion, winning in the bubble as another level of difficulty because you are isolated from everyone and isolation takes its toll on people in different ways.

Besides two bad seasons in Orlando, Frank Vogel has a pretty decent winning percentage. He also has a championship. Unfortunately the suns are a superteam and only won 49 games and got swept first round. So the coach is usually the 1st to go right? even if its not his fault entirely

People say they wanna see more of pp but he the biggest hater… for frank we need to look at the gm but for lbj he is the one making the moves but if he was im sure he would atleast have the coach he wants

Vogel lost the locker room is the biggest way it makes sense. The other thing to remember is that Bud is from Arizona and has a passion for Sun's history. If they're the same coach, I'd rather have Bud who is one us (Arizonan) and Book/KD can make adjustments, but maybe Bud should hire a great tactician as an assistant coach.

Vogel needed to be fired. First if have traditional players 1-5 yeah they need to do know what to do and do there job a defensive coach is great. If you wanna rewrite basketball with basically 4 wings and a center you need an offensive genius to help figure it out. Secondly Vogel is a terrible coach. He made zero in game adjustments, kept KD in the corner all year. Called for a timeout up 4 with 10 seconds left leading to OT. Calls his other 2 starters role players and the other guys minimum guys. Fine for media or fans not ok for a head coach. The roster is a mess but he had to go and it's not even a debate

The problem is franchises consider the coach expendable. The exception being Miami and San Antonio. If you hire a coach the least you can do is have his back. If Vogel pointed out the flaws on the team and you don’t address them what do you expect?

Do these dudes watch basketball.... The Lakers offense was very bad under Vogel. Rondo saved that offense under his own will. I knew the Suns were going to suffer on offense and go ISO mode.

Paul is right. No excuses for not winning a single playoff game with that squad. I watched every single game this past season and Vogel CONFOUNDED me with his INABILITY to find a rotation. Even WHEN HE FOUND something that works he'd do it two or three games and GO BACK to what DOESN'T work. It was insane.

Bud and vogel are not the same guys. They are so far apart in terms of coaching style. Bud is a substantially better coach than vogel. Honestly i really like this hire. Suns are looking at the top two spots in the west the coming year.
