Great video thank you! My wife and I want to buy the mattress you bought. In the link it states 78 inches in length. I measured 74 inches in ours (same trailer as yours). Did you have an issue with the mattress being too long?
I went with a coachman clipper max 12.0 instead of this based off your review. I still do like this set up though. If the price drops on them it would be worth it
How do you like your 12.0? I had a Viking popup nearly new that had so many build problems that I was glad to unload it in today's market. I hope your experience is much better. But I love those Express teardrops.

Appreciate your honesty about how well or not that they honor their warranty. Build it right the first time and they won't have to deal with so many warranty repairs. I am so weary of getting one of these vs a smaller more rugged teardrop.
THANK YOU for an EXCELLENT DOWN to EARTH PRESENTATION! You showed us you get what you pay for and that with ALL campers you are going to have to put in some work!
This things a beauty I just bought one and it's being towed by a 2019 mazda 3 sedan with a 1280 lb weight you can really tow it with almost anything most cars can pull up to 2650!
@4:05 What does he say? Something about "blind enough something something of a car"? I just want to get as much info as I can before plunking down cash when there appear to be so many workmanship issues. Thanks!
I just came across your video and had to comment! We had a 109 and had to get rid of it because of the poor workmanship on it from the manufacturer. We really wanted to love it, but it just gave us too many problems! It leaked like crazy when it rained, the A/C went out on us as well, and our spare tire mount came off. I think the trailer definitely has potential, but it needs some improvements for sure!
@@HerrP58 it is a world of difference. To be fair though the price is a world of difference as well. Honestly for what the Sunday 109 cost I wasn’t surprised by the quality. The geo pro isn’t perfect, but if is much better craftsmanship.
You have to adjust the seal for the front windows every 90 days, it is the same on all small RV. The difficulty is the front is rounded and cannot be fully seal during heavy water. They improved it but you have to put seal on it. They thought to remove the front window , (as they have done on all other model for this reason ) but they kept it on the 109 because it is already a small tiny camper. Without the window it would not be good. The spare tire has to be relocated in the rear anyway to remove tongue weight and allow step turn and ground clearance. The AC is covered by the warranty and this is standard AC, so it should be easily replaceable. They now have added a valve for the water vent tube which prevent the water to be contaminated. and also they added an access door for the heater reset panel. The dealer said they fixed the issues on the axles. But personally i would like if possible to upgrade to 3500lbs axles. I have seen a dealer upgrading these. With these mods, it must be a great trailer. The geo pro 12 srk was good and matched the sunray 109 feature but is not available anymore. The production is suspended. And the price was much over the Sunray 109.. If we do these mods the trailer is great from many users. Axles, spare tire relocation, replacing the bed with nice foam 6 inch, adding solar panel on the roof rack, adding lithium battery and big inverter and solar mppt charger.i think we can get that for the price of the geo pro 12 srkq or close at least. The geo pro was bigger though with bigger fridge and bigger place inside with a extra shelf. But it is unavailable now.
How long are the screws you’re using to drill into the inside walls of the trailer? They didn’t warranty the bed cause they probably thought you were a tubby lol This is super informative btw. Thank you.
I really like what you've done with it! I've got one that's a few years old and it has fewer build quality issues but also fewer features (no water heater, for example, and the fridge is AC only). I'm in interior Alaska and it's worked really well for me in marginal weather, and you can take it pretty much anywhere. I actually lowered the kitchen hatch door, because when it's raining I don't want water running off the door into the cooking area (but, I'm only 5'5"). I'm going to be replacing it with a truck camper next year but in the meantime you've given me some ideas for things I can do to get it a bit more livable.
You said the trailer is really light weight a couple times, what is the weight? Wow, what a great video, you were very thorough. You found or had many problems with this, that you fixed, and what a *GREAT* job you did. That means that this company leaves a lot to be desired. I would buy yours, but I don't know about theirs. I understand you showed us in advance the problems you had so we could be prepared for those things to happen. WHAT AN AWESOME JOB that you did with all of the additions and fixing uppers. You should buy and sell your own trailers. I really love all of the additions that you did to make your little camper an efficient home away from home. Do you have a potty that you carry with you? I see there isn't much room to keep one, but I would just have to have my own. You got a great mattress to replace what they have there, does it require a smaller one so that you could have more room? Was that a queen or double? Gosh, you even had to replace the slide out for the bed. I know those cushions do not look comfortable that they give you to lay on. I have reviewed you video of the inside a couple of times to see if you can fit a little potty in there anywhere, maybe in the corner where the red bag and fire extinguisher is or under the bed. I didn't see any place to store your clothes or anything, I guess you would store that in your car? I think I would have to set up a tent just to store my items & food, drinks, coolers and my potty. You can stand up and change in there and have your comfortable bed & kitchen in your camper. I would also put a large tarp over the kitchen. There ya go, I think that would *ALL* work! 😁 *lol* Thank you for sharing your video, you did a *GREAT* job, you really did. 🌳👫🏡🚐🌷🌻🌼🌞
Does this fit in a standard garage? Debating between this or the Sunray 139 but if this doesn’t have to go into storage that’s a plus. Or, if you had to do it over again, should I steer clear of this manufacturer completely?
It fit in our garage, but I am not sure if it was standard or not. While they have a lot of issues, I would buy from this manufacturer again. If you are handy and not afraid of marking a few upgrades I would still recommend them. I think these trailers are a great value for the price, if you can find a good deal on one. Don’t ever pay anything close to MSRP on these.
Hi Timiya! For the off-road package with the better tires and lifted suspension, I would say $8500 is a good price, especially if it is new or like new condition. Pricing really changes based upon what area of the country you are in. Trailer World in Denver generally has the best prices on these trailers.
That's exactly what I'm seeing too. My local dealer said they haven't had too many issues. And keeping in mind that customers without issues may not post videos, all I've come across are lots and lots of issues on those videos. I'm 63 y.o. with an HOA. So the last thing I want to do is pay storage every month for this bad boy and spend weekends figuring out how to fix things. (I'm not very handy, although on the 2nd or 3rd time I'll get it right.) Anyone have any advice...besides look at GeoPros? :)
