Wonderful instructor. I wish he'd be around these days. We all learned how to paint just by watching him! Down to earth talk and how to do it! RIP mate.
This sky is so dramatic. There is the fiery sky and angry sea... and there is the calmness of the reflection of the sunset. What a great artist you are, Bill.
Lol. Lol. He made me truly laugh, a belly laugh when he said..Now you put a dot in the corner, sign your name, and you've got a modern painting. That made me laugh so hard. It's so so so so true, even today
All the times he says he could do better if they gave him an hour, he wasn't kidding. That came out spectacular. ...and very impressive for only one hour.
Kragatar Lol, how right you are. Is that canvas gessoed first ?Im new to oils ,and I ordered the liquid clear , but apparently I was supposed to order a Bob Ross oil medium in a plastic bottle. I’m starting on gesso. Then I’ll have to make my own liquid clear . White oil paint water soluble & linseed oil I believe. What a character!
@@morgancalvi6675 Correct. Well done! In a 30 minute programme Bill paints for 10 minutes and talks for 20 minutes. In a one hour programme Bill paints for 20 minutes and talks for 40 minutes.
. 🔆✨⭐💫✴️ True Bill and Bob, both had magnetic positive personalities. Their Energies are, they remain alive in our Universe, .......... eternally. We all are eternal. *Painting is such a high Vibe expressing of our Creating and Creative.*
thats not a german accent. not one you hear anymore these days. thats prussian. and all this passion and "fire in here and fire in there" - i guess that is the prussian spirit, which the german empire was so infamous for. i wish there was some bill alexander speaking pure german. he was clearly completely native in it, because sometimes german words slip into his commentary unintentionally.
Wow! What a gorgeous seascape painting!!! I absolutely love it!!!!! I wish Bill was still around, I would have loved meeting him in person. RIP Bill, you the man!
He knew what he was doing, for sure, the way he hustled with that sky. I can only hope to emulate his style; I can’t DUPLICATE it! And as he has said before: it isn’t as easy as it looks. He was the master.
Bill Alexander, you will always be the Master of Painting with The Magic of Painting ! I learned so much from watching you on PBS WTTW Station in Chicago. I have an innately artistic ability, so all I gain in techniques I am self taught by trial & error from sight to my reproducing the same on canvas. You have shared your knowledge to get wisdom to us painters who seek her. Your painting techniques are “magic”! Thank you!
Bill thank you again for sharing one of your exquisite videos. I love how you are so down to earth and you're enthusiasm inspires me to keep painting. Thank you
Where are all those "about an hour" - episodes from? They weren´t appearing in the regular seasons, right? Thank you! And thank you again for uploading all this stuff, it influenced my world a lot.
. 🔆✨⭐💫✴️ Bill and Bob both had magnetic positive personalities. Their Energies are, they remain alive in our Universe, eternally. We all are eternal. *Painting is such a high Vibe expressing of our Creating and Creative.* Bill did it with such zest and gusto in the Physical and you can imagine him as *he soars with the Stars Now. They both do!* 🔆✨⭐💫✴️
The first time I have had the privilege Sir, and I thank you. A demonstration. A lesson. Entertainment. Personality. Humour. Kindness. All shone through this masterpiece. Bless you ❤️
Excellent example very interesting drawing and especially job training in the time you are very especially beautiful color and you have nice ideas Thanks
*Wonder where this Painting is hanging today?* Bill "NAILS the Green", (that color of ocean water when light filters through a wave), and when the water is shallow at the shore line. That color with a wave foam as it caps and move in to shore, a true Majestic Vision.
This was such a pleasure to watch. He is so talented! I would love to try and recreate this, but I suspect it would take me a couple of days as opposed to 1 hour.
Youll never know, unless you try! You miss every shot you dont take. So get your canvas, paint and brushes out and start a masterpiece! Good luck and have fun! 🙃
So glad people are finally getting to know Mr. Alexander; the delightful and talented "Original PBS Art Guy" form my childhood. Bob also is charming and I am sorry there was a break between the two... but Bill is the original archetype for the character-painter public show. Just makes me smile!
