If you have zero export ticked & CT coil installed correctly you wont export to grid, i would also tick priority load to supply load from PV's, I run off grid except when cloudy for longer than 2 days, I run everything incl 2 X 150l geysers (3kW each), in summer my aircons (3) in main living & bedroom areas run day & night as I am in the Karoo so 3 deg in winter to 48deg in Feb, dont worry about inverters cooling because they have own fans. I understand the timer function differently from your explaination, if the timer not ticked I dont think it does anything as far as I understand it because the inverter will charge batteries to 100% if there is enough spare power after supplying the load, the timer is to force grid charging to batteries if under the %, so by ticking next to desired % the battery wont discharge below set % so you will have storage for loadshedding. Revov batteries can discharge to as low as 5%, but suggested to min of 10%.
Hi I was just wondering if you could even do a video or reply to me here on how you went about connecting the auxiliary load to the nonessentials and how you set up the connection for the CT to the main DB. It would probably be better to do a video on it as I have not seen one video online about the way to connect it properly. Thanks man, cheers👍🏼
The installation manual has example diagrams explaining aux power, generator connection, wind turbine etc also the correct CT coil installation is covered.
Panels should be +/- 26deg Angle to ground for optimal working in SA, will solve water collection issue, SunSynk great invertor, Revov also good value & great service support. I have 9 plus 9 Canadian 415W, into 2 X 8 Kw Sunsynk with 2 X Revov R200 10 kWh batteries ( total 20kwh storage).
Thanks for sharing! Could you please advise on how you did your permanent Neutral - Earth bond? Do you supply your inverter from an Earth Leakage? Is the Inverter itself protected. Thanks in advance!
The inverter is not behind the earth leakage. I have tried to connect it like that before but you get random trips of the earth leakage. The cables that comes out of the inverter for your load is where you do your permanent earth neutral bond. Remember not to connect an earth cable on the output of the inverter if you do the permanent bond.
