Maybe this is a stoner moment and maybe I'm reading into this too much, but I'd say the biggest difference between the OG rap battle parodies and the new one is the COVID effect. We went through years of social distancing and being scared of touching each other and its almost like that's given us personal bubble insecurities. Most of the time everyone has their arms down at their sides and when they do have their arms doing something, its a solo movement in their own personal bubble. It's like they're all strangers assembled who don't know how much physical contact is consensual. On the other hand, some of the most iconic moments of the original have them pushing him and each other around, they're adjusting his hoodie and shit, picking him up, they're climbing over each other, holding bro back, they're huddled real close to hear the "bars" (lol), they're behaving like a community that is close enough to have comfortable body language. Again, maybe I'm reading into it too hard cause that joint hit nice, but to me it looks like the COVID effect making us a lot more physically cold towards each other without even knowing it. Love the content still tho haha high thoughts
This guy would have been legendary content creator by now if he's didn't disappear... Could have battled lil Wayne Drake etc all the goats by now, been on the bet cypher, Kevin Hart (chocolate droppa) would be epic!!!
