I understand what Cory was going for, because "May I sharpen a pencil" is a sentence that is so unlikely to occur, and yet it sounds like something that might appear in language learning textbooks, I don't know how Cory knows this, but I think he had a fundamental misunderstanding of the bit as a whole from the start, and also he was likely trying to fire up his 4 neurons that remain available to use freely as the rest were being taken up by Sonic Heroes and thinking of Rogue The Bat naked. He likely also remembered a similar bit from Sleepycabin eons ago that his brain was grasping at straw in an attempt to reiterate again but it was used in a completely different context and made no sense But yeah Cory should be trepanned to let the evil spirits out of his brain
