Today I was there first and probably last time. There was only 1-2 marshalls and The yellow Flag was as a Flashing small white light (instead Yellow light as on Teamsports).. Nobody of the kids cares about the "white light" so speeding and overtaking.. The fast "Nascar" corner was really bumpsy and my back hurting after 2 sessions of 20min.. My best time was 0.39,8sec. When i went on Teamsport Avonmouth and Cardiff - 3 sessions of 15min, there was really much more fun, skids and smiles than here..
Thanks for dropping a comment and checking out the video, I get what you are saying about the yellow flags/white lights, it is hard sometimes. Those bloody kids not listening to instructions lol I love the banked corkscrew but it is really tough on the body. I also go to both of those Teamsport venues so maybe catch you for a lap!
the marshalls are nice though, they seems a little offish every once in a while that i go but i imagine that's the working conditions more than anything they all seem friendly one week and dying of exhaustion and therefore a little pissy the next haha, but i've even heard them complaining about the track if you go for a morning session. the marshalls seem to care about the bussiness more than their bosses, but i imagine there's not much they can do about the upper levels without their bosses sign off and supervision, seen them doing tyre walls occasionally but the tracks always so busy so imagine they rarely get to do them even, the lower levels tyre walls are looking loose around the big right hander at the bttom and to be fair look like they'd take at least 2-3 hours to sort out which isnt gonna happen with an open track. they need to close for a week and sort it out i think, 1 week of no profit for the track to be better and have more returning customers is worth it imo, also since im a returning customer would be nice to have a better experience lmao, where's my money going? the bosses pockets i imagine
This is where i first started karting before i made the switch to teamsport Cardiff and I would like to come back because last time I was here i was 4th quickest overall in the cadet karts
Thanks for watching and dropping a comment, it's a great track and fresher karts make it more fun again I also go to Teamsport as it's a bit closer to me. Catch you for a lap sometime 👍
it's gone a little worse recently, the layouts improved a little since this video even but you can see some issues with the karts and the barriers being a little less high quality, still great fun though, but no where near as polished as an experience as teamsport, but a lot more fun in the sense of it's layout and the grippier lower surface due to it being tarmac over concrete
@@kanewannell4890 that's not a bad time at all, current lap record is 38.5 but for me to get that I'd need to lose a few stone lol when u say 3rd corner do you mean the hairpin before start/finish? If so stab of brake to scrub speed, carry momentum through and accelerate as early as you can!
Just went here again recently and they have new karts, not alot of braking to be fair just lift off and chuck it in. Thanks for the comment, more videos to come please check them out!
Any tips for the racing line here? How many corners do you need to brake for? Vs coasting, or staying on the throttle? And looks like the fastest line through that big banked corner (@ 11:34), is to keep it tight on the exit, rather than going all the way out to the wall?
Hi Gaz, only tips are clean is fast. Try not to scrub too much speed off. Brakes are optional 😉😜 Wide entry for the banked corkscrew but tight exit is spot on, try to keep the momentum going and then change direction, little let off to turn and back on the gas to power through down the back straight
Hi Snowy, it's a better track as more demanding and they have just has new karts that are excellent. You are sure to have a good time, what amount of time are you going for?
@@CHRISTAFJONESDVK My best time was a 42.780 but i know i can go faster, there was some kid there who just stuck in the middle of the track and was doing 56sec laps
Hey Snowy, thanks for coming back! 42 is good if there's a rolling road block but it's the luck of the draw with arrive and drive. Well done and there is always a bit more time to get, keep at it! 👍
