Portra 800 is very nice, but it's helped by some beautiful composition, interesting subject choice, and good in-camera exposure accuracy. Lovely images Dave.

Awesome! The 500T was a lot less grainy than I expected -- and the juxtaposition of the Super 8 and sharp 35mm is great. Ollie's Trolley???? Wow! We used to have a few in the DC/Metro area like 25 years ago, but I am pretty sure that they are all gone from here now. Loved "Ollie's Fries" -- darn! What resolution did you have the Super 8 scanned at? It looked great to me!!!

This was nice. Your Portra 800 photos are tack sharp. See if your local libraries do art shows and speaking events. I think this would be of interest especially to people who never been there or others who have.

You have given me a good idea for a project! I live in the path of the eclipse tomorrow and have decided to load some Portra 800 in my AE1 that has been my trusty companion since ‘78 and try to capture some of the aura of the eclipse while everyone else is looking up. Nothing to lose!

This was really cool! I love the portra 800 look. It looks so darn good. I need to get a roll of 35mm. I have a box of 120 frozen but I want to use it for something special. I also have Kodak 500T already started on my Super 8. Gonna finish it off during the eclipse 😊

Lovely video, the super 8 film is like a hazy dream like memory and a great contrast to the tack sharp but warm Portra 800.

That was awesome.. Talk about going back in time.. Now I am not that old but imagine all there was to shoot moving pictures was that kinda technology still today lol. Talk about simple and what you get is pretty much what you get lol. Very cool :) And that Portra looked GREAT.. I have not shot Portra yet but have been wanting to ..
