"When are you introducing the character that gave Blue his scar?" Hulk Davidson literally says IN THIS GAME: "I'm the one who put that scar on Captain Blue's face!"
According to Hulk in the game, he's the one who gave Captain Blue that helmet scar. It's glanced over and probably not as epic as you'd envision. In the ANIME, on the other hand, the Black Emperor scarred him when they were fighting in Jet's theater and the mondo slash that hit Blue also left a giant gash in the lobby seen in the first episode. That's much better. You also say Blue's kick should be a "cold blue kick", I assume like Remy's? Well Silvia's diving kick is called cool blue kick and she has a similar diving stance to Remy.
The shark is Gran Bruce...I'm guessing that's a reference to the animatronic shark's nickname the people who worked on Jaws gave to it. In which case, awesome reference.
Back in the day when La Ronde (An Amusement Park in Canada, you guys wouldn't know about it) had ACTUAL ARCADE GAMES, I once stuck around one of those big X-men the arcade game cabinets for like, an hour. Shit was fun.
If you wanna know what the video Woolie refers to, on Star Wars, search; Belated Media - What If Episode 1 Was Good? Belated Media - What If Episode 2 Was Good?
Liam, you're doing so good, but why are you dying to the black enemies? I'll admit it's been a while for me, but I don't remember them giving me any trouble when I was a kid.
So... I'm surprised that no one remembered, but after you beat a boss and get that scene with the explosions going crazy, you can still do the punches and kicks.
I once had this game however my game stopped working I beat the shark boss and it was during a time where I didn't have a job. You know what I'm going to dust off my ps2 and go see if any stores have this game second hand. If not there is always eBay. Thanks guys for playing this and reminding me of it.
Look, its R.O.B in the first area! Is that why only the second game was multiplatform? Because Nintendo's Robotic Operating Buddy was in the background?
Joe's story doesn't have subtitles :( Captain Blue was a famous movie producer/director who got sucked into his own film. He had fun, but soon felt neglected as people got used to new movies. Then he went NUTZ and tried to drag his daughter into Movie Land. The remaining goodness of his soul brought Joe into Movie Land and gave him a V-Watch. Ending: Captain Blue is good again, and Joe has restored his faith. He says the world will be attacked twice more, and suddenly ALIENS!
The only redeeming feature of VJ2 was Alastor begging you to play VJ1 to get his backstory. Oh, and learning Capcom rushed it to completion. That explained A LOT.
Holy christ TBFP all know about Midtown Madness 2 I didn't think it was even a thing many people knew about, that was an amazingly good videogabe oh mang
I'm amazed that a game made in 2003, is better than the majority of triple A titles today. This game looks incredible and the gameplay looks like so much fun.
37:30 - Fuck yeah, Demon's Crest! Such a good game: kickass music and cool sprite style that still holds up pretty damn well. Capcom made it, so it's got a few splashes of Megaman in it, and really awesome bosses, especially the super-hard New Game Plus optional boss.
Oh man. H2 Overdrive. I love that game. There was a machine at a place near my house and when I used to play it I held all of the top records. It's been about a year since I last played it, so I'm probably not #1 anymore. If I ever have the money, I might just buy and H2 Overdrive arcade machine.
I like Man of Steel. At my favorite theater there is a sign above the door. "When you enter this portal, leave everything else behind." That includes your nit-picky attitude that stops you from just enjoying a flick.
One of my favorite racing games was Destruction Derby for the N64. Plus I did enjoy Black. I feel like if it had been made now they could have done a lot of things that they tried to do but couldn't really pull off with the tech.
Did you know Viewtiful Joe's voice actor was also the Gravemind in Halo, General Raam in Gears of War and a bunch more crazy roles in kid's shows and stuff.
Pat said on the podcast or somewhere that God Hand is hard as balls just playing it alone and trying to talk with Matt at the same time would be impossible.
Matt you've made me feel bad for thinking that Force Unleashed is an awesome game. I'm gonna try and replay it to see if HD graphics and epic set pieces in the SW universe clouded the judgment of my young mind.
It's kind of sad, isn't it? Like they really are afraid they are going to loose money. Nintendo needs to cool their jets and stop worrying about a couple of dudes lets plays.
