What makes the dream bike ride? The route, the bike, the weather? Everyone's ultimate ride is different but some weirdos - like our very own Oliver Bridgewood - jam pack their 100km route in the Lake District with 20%+ gradient hills and dream of stealing a KoM from Andrew Feather (not likely, even in a dream, sorry Ollie). Nobody would argue with his choice of an all-Italian Pinarello Dogma F12, kitted out with Campagnolo wheels and groupset though.

I absolutely love your tours through the locals ”backyard”. It’s much more relatable to me than the magnificent trips you will never do or just once in your lifetime as a hobby cyclist. Even if I sometimes dream about them. Because you have a cooperation with Komoot, I have a suggestion. Could you curate tours from followers, so Komoot users can send you their tours and you present the best of them. It is really hard to find gems like you presented, but with the community backing you that could be possible.

I just had the chance to bike 100 miles on roads closed to cars in the Yosemite National Park. Incredible scenery, smooth roads, nice weather. Yeah it may be the perfect ride.

Loved this, I can so relate to Ollies dream ride. GCN keeps upping its game as the productions was as fantastic as the lovely Lake district scenery. My own dream ride was either Lake district (Clitheroe to Carlisle) or Inverness to Lairg when I did lejog with some mates.

@DD GG In the UK you can only be arrested for being drunk on a bike, there is no legal limit per se unlike with cars, a pint or two is perfectly legal, albeit a bit foolish
