I remember Formula 1 GP in Canada back in 2011. The race was stopped for more than 2 hours because of the heavy rain. And our Russian broadcast host Alexey Popov was talking all this 2-hour long pause. Nothing was happening on the track, nothing was happening in the pits, but somehow he managed to find interesting topics (F1-related, of course), news, inside stories, funny moments with the pilots and entertain the viewers. The race ended 4 hours after the start and that was some AAA-class broadcast perfomance by Alexey.

I remember this Superbowl. I live in Louisiana. I remember when the saints won the superbowl but then the whole bounty gate crap surfaced and Sean Peyton got suspended. When the power outage happened there was this hilarious meme(at least to us lousisana folk it was hilarious) of Sean fiddling with the circuit breaker and it said "Peyton's revenge". Twas quite funny to us.

Craig Ferguson did a special episode of The Late Late Show in New Orleans after this delayed Super Bowl. They actually made light of this incident in a cold open of it. In it, Lucy Liu was warning Craig not to plug his phone into a certain outlet, to which he responded, "What could possibly go wrong?". Well, now we know. 😀
