I think people are completely missing the point. I think at this point in the season the Chiefs aren’t scoring 35 because they don’t have to not because they can’t the game against the bills they could’ve scored as many points as they wanted to the game against the ravens. It was easy for them to get 17 they could’ve easily got 45 if they had to, but they didn’t have to because the defense shuts people down in the second half of games

In certain games they can score a ton of points, and the offense is still very good, but it isn’t as explosive as years past, so in games where the other team has the ball for a decent chunk of the game, they aren’t necessarily able to put up as many points as years past

@@ConnorDudley585 I'd agree with that regarding the regular season, but in all sincerity, Mahomes and Reid literally take their skillset to another level entirely. They're playing smart through the playoffs therefore, yeah-Mahomes is managing the game. Getting the "W" is all they want and that's what matters most.

They definitely couldn’t have scored 45 against Baltimore, maybe 30 max, but the beauty in KCs game plan was playing keep away from Lamar. That made them panic more than anything. KC was never ahead by that much, but Baltimore panicked because they had so few chances with the ball. That was genius on Reid’s part.

Did you watch the game? They haven’t thrown deep all year. They have been controlling the clock with underneath throws and playing defense. Baltimore had the ball 14 mins the whole game. They couldn’t run the ball because they didn’t have enough possessions. They won games because they keep their defense off the field. Just like the broncos in the 90s with the run game. Football is 80 percent schemes and line of scrimmage play. It’s not your favorite players….its how your head coach and favorite players execute the scheme and the game plan. It’s a chess match….if chiefs tried to put up 45 they would have lost the game.

They play in different systems requiring different things of their TEs, so it isn't really a fair question. In terms of just receiving production in the playoffs, Kelce blows the doors off of Kittle. It isn't remotely close.

why is SF favored by 2.5 when all the stats, last few games, Reid and DC having 2 weeks to prep, plus Mahomey..point to KC advantages… i mean i dont mind if SF wins it. I chose them mid season, but just doesnt seem right

when a prime time position becomes free (NBC) I think Olsen gets it. Collinsworth (who I like and many dont) wont do this forever. he owes nothing to Fox. he has done a fantastic job so far.

Kittle averages a yard more per reception. Kelce averages 1 one more target per game. No knock on Kelce, but I’d take kittle. You can do more with kittle in the run game and pass pro. Plus he is much more of a threat with the ball in his hands than Kelce. None of anything I said is an opinion. All backed up by tape and stats. Again if had Kelce, I would be more than happy with it. But if I could choose which one I wanted, it would be kittle every time. Just because he brings more to the table to help the team succeed.

And what if KC unloads their typical firepower that has been absent throughout the season? Will the 49ers be prepared for that or are they under the impression that KC is more stagnant on offense? They could find themselves on their heels if that's the case. I have full confidence that "if need be" Mahomes and Kelce and Pacheco and another surprise offensive weapon could suddenly go guns blazing.

Kittle has 1,020 yards on 90 targets and 15.7 yards per catch and has 31 catches for 20+ yards and 6 touchdowns Kelce has 0,984 yards on 121 targets for 10.6 yards per catch and has 17 catches for 20+ yards and 5 touchdowns So for 2023 Kittle is the better and more efficient receiver. Add to that that Kittle is a better blocker at the line and downfield.

Kittle should have with that Superstar RB teams had to worry about. These comparisons don't equal, different conferences both saw different defenses... Kelce has been clutch in the playoffs especially against Baltimore's top rated D.

@@povertyspec9651 stats like playoff history mean very little as they are endlessly expanding the number of play off games played every season. That said for their careers clearly right now Kelce has a better career (PS and the best QB playing today. That don't hurt.)

The feeling from almost everyone I've heard in media heavily favors the Chiefs in the SB. I know KC had 3 decent playoff games, but SF beat 5 playoff bound teams this season, where KC beat 1. SF had a bad 3 game stretch in mid season, but otherwise they steamrolled teams all regular season. People will come back at me with "that was the regular season bro", but that's a 17 game sample size, vs 3 playoff games to draw from. I'd be leery to bet money on the Chiefs in this game at only +2.5 points. If they were getting +6.5 points maybe. Doesn't mean I don't think KC will win the game, just saying I would not be shocked if the 49ers win by 3 points.
