I absolutely love the shade being thrown all over Super Potato. As someone that idolized them and dreamed to visit them for over a decade, to see them so swept up in the tourist tax by changing 2x 3x prices. I hope they get knocked down a peg and eventually correct their path.

I was just at book off today in sakai. I bought my soon 3 switch games for about 80 bucks. I love the exchange rate. I like living in Japan but getting paid dollars lol

Book Off is the bomb. They have such wonderful imports; games or movies. They can be a bit pricey on some things though.

I love Japan! It is one of the coolest places to be. Thrilled to see that you enjoyed your time at Book Off. You got a lot of great stuff! Chance are you already know about this. There is a Book Off location in New York City and that one is really good too. I have lucked out in scoring great finds a good priced there.

So cool to see your finds!! I was just at that Book Off Super Bazaar yesterday lol were you able to go to the Surugaya as well across the street/bridge pathway from that book off? Really enjoyed that area since it had a Book Off Bazaar, Surugaya, Hard Off, and Book Off within walking distances. Excited to see more of your adventures in Japan!

So I actually have a bookoff in my local area not as big as that Jason store and I saw they were selling Japanese version of games and I was like wait a minute I need to tell this to my friend and he did some digging and it’s a Japanese company

Man I saw this Jump Force on your video at 5000 yen which is like 31 euros whereas in my country the once I find are between 50-70 euros! I am bringing an extra suitcase when I come to Tokyo in February!

Nice offer of games - but as you probably know yourself the heavy hitters have skyrocketed ;) and a lot of former regular titles are now "showcase" titles... as for the cheap stuff - those too had a surge in prices. a lot of stuff that cost like 100-300 yen years ago are now priced at 500 - 1000 Yen. Which still is cheap but more then double in price compared to the past

I hope you got some Switch games while in Japan. If a game has been released on the English eShop it usually has the English version on the cartridge (so far Atlus is the only exception).

I was just there a few weeks back! Totally agree, Super Potato Tokyo is WAY overrated and overpriced. I loved Super Potato Osaka though. It was very cute, the two gals working the register loved my beard and tattoos. "So cool! So cool!" pointing to my tattoos. I went back about a week or so later and the same gals were working and remembered me! They were very smitten. Made my day!
