For anyone who wants to use PS4 controller, you have to use usb receiver for Bluetooth (make sure you buy a good one, I bought some cheap dongle and connection went on and off every 5 seconds). Now if the console doesn’t read the usb, then you have to use the original stick to set it up at bluetooth controller setting. Later it will be read as wireless controller and you’re ready to go

I'm having an issue. I got a 8bitdo pro 2 and I maped the buttons just fine but when I go in to game I get a controller not configured error. Only thing I can do is bring up menu with y or quit out.. oh and for somereason when I unplugged it and plugged it back in it now reads it as a generic xbox controller
i love how everyone made multiples videos about the basic setting that are already shown in the console.. .. what we want is a video that shows how to fix a controler that been setup which dont work once in emulator. I did some change in the proper section for retroarch but since this console doesnt act the same as expected behavior from retroarch it keeps breaking everything. We need a video that shows the do's and don't in retroarch setting and optimisation since some could break the whole installation and doesnt produce the expected results...
How do you restore the controls to default when the controls are screwed up. Somehow I can only use L2 & R1 to select in the main screen. This makes it hard to navigate and it won’t let me change the configuration. It just exits me out. Anyone know a way around this
I finally got my player 1 controller to work. Now how do I configure player 2 so it matches player 1? When I change it the same way, it doesn't seem to save.
What should i do if my 2nd controller wont press start when i play dreamcast, mame or any emulator that has a multiplayer. Eventhough i already configure correctly my 2nd controller. But when i turn off my controllers. And try to turn on first the 2nd controller. The 2nd controller became the 1p in the game or the master controller. So now my 1st controller wont press start or wont work.
Great video. Appreciate the effort put into this. Does anyone have clear instructions how to connect original ps3 and p4 controllers? They works when connected through a USB cable. Tried connecting using the connect bluetooth controller function, but this seems to time out in few seconds on the console, meaning it only gives 4 sec window for it to find a controller. Any help is much appreciated as the controllers that came with it are not stable when using the left thumb stick. You press a little bit left ,the car (for example in mario kart on n64) swings too much to the left. Bedankt
The Xbox 360 controller you mention has a wire. Does the Super Console X work with a wireless Xbox 360 controller? Or does it have to be wired? Also would an Xbox One work with this? Cheers.

Everytime I do the button matching, I can not setup the thumb clicks, it will always be recognized as Axis Movement... I think they are too sensitive... Is it possible to change the sensitivity? What happens when controller 1 disconnects for some reason while switching save slots (hot key+ right d)?? I cant seem to reconnect controller unless i power down
You said that ps4 controller doesn't work with your emuelec, but it 2 years past.Did something change or not, because I want to buy ps4 gamepad and don't know if it connects properly.
I had to plug in my ps 4 controller with the USB cord plugged in. Since the system reads it as a new controller it will let you get back to the controller configuration screen with none buttons adjusted. Before you hold a button down to start and set up your controller configuration, take out the ps4 controller and put back in the controller that is screwed up. Hold down a button and you should be able to reset the configuration again. It happened to me and a luckily figured this out. I would believe any different controller that didn't come with the system should allow this to work.
Setting up my Mayflash arcade stick totally crashed the system on the first night, and I followed directions carefully. I now have to return it to Amazon. Be careful unless you’re decent at rebuilding the memory card
Hi I’m sorry I’m lost. I played my super x at least ten times and I now can’t get any of my controllers to work. I have the PlayStation type that came with it and SNES wireless as well as a cheap Xbox and a blue tooth Xbox. I can control the main screen but as soon as I get into a game nothing works.even games I played don’t work!I do the configuring on the controllers then I can’t even exit out of the game. What am I missing?
Is there a red light on the usb dongle that you put into the console to detect the controller? I cant seem to be able to find any controlkers at all, tried charging my phone on usb points too and not reading anything at all, do u think its faulty??
I am having a problem where everything works fine when playing with two controllers but then after I turn the second player controller off it will no longer let us play two player games with both controllers.Both controllers will work in the menu ect but will not work at all in two player games.I am using the controllers that came with the system.

i wanted to know also. i'm not a fan of wired but i'm curious if anyone tried ps or xbox etc that didn't come with console and see if lag was still an issue.
@robert-asdf The best setting for me is to set the TV to game mode, which mitigates the delay quite a bit, but there's still a delay that's noticeable.
I have just bought a Kinhank super console x and trying to configure the included controller. The console recognize the two Microsoft X-Box 360 pad after I hold A button to configure the controller, but I am unable to go to the next step to map the controller no matter what button I press. When I highline the controller and move the joystick to the right, a small windows pop up with INPUT P1 #0 Microsoft X-Box 360 Pad, if I move the joystick to the right again to choose it, it takes me back to the controller settings screen again. I just cannot go to the controller mapping page. The left joystick is the only thing work that allows me to move up and down to highline what I want, and move left or right to choose, nothing else is working. I cannot use the controller without controller configuration. Can you tell me how to go to the mapping page from Controller settings page?

I mapped controllers same way you did... Was playing wrestlemania arcade ver. Can't bring up in game menu for input dip switches etc. Brought up Black small box menu before in game now I can't access the in game menu thing. Help plz?
Im having an issue when i start a game the controller stops working normaly and tries to do other things like lower the volume or reset, switches between slots to save in and so on. cant play any games.
Could you show how to do a save state with a n64 usb controller. That is driving me nuts. Can’t seem to access retroarch menu when it’s plugged in. I’ve tried everything. Keeping the Xbox controller plugged in and keeping a keyboard plugged in. It’s irritating. The n64 controller works fine just can’t save or load.
Press both stick buttons to access the 65kw emulator menu. In the emulex menu you can select from 4 different emulators. I had the best luck so far with the one that starts with 'P'. In the N64 menu for the default emulator, before I found the others, I had to change the setting for the control stick function mode before they would work. Also, the hardware can't seem to handle resolutions over 640 very well.
Im trying to use the pack in ps2 wireless controllers that come with the super console x to play an amiga 500 game. The problem I have is that it recognises the controler but some of the games keys were on the keyboard. Im using the amiberry emulator and It will not let me map keys
I got the cube and got the same controllers in the video and everything worked good. Then i bought some snes wireless controllers and configured them and it jacked the original controllers. Now when i go back to configure the original controllers the select button doesnt register that i am pressing it and after i configure one analog stick i cant configure the other, it says already taken. Is there a way i can wipe out all the controller settings?

I bought 2 wired usb controllers and tried to configure both of them but had the same problem with both. I can configure every button correctly except the right trigger. Everytime I try it skips to the next button and says "no setting" next to right trigger. Really pissing me off. Any suggestions?

Easy thing is to do ... unplug all controllers. Boot up system ... Grab a new controller.. setup. When 1 has been config correctly .. you can config the other 2 again you made a mistake with.
I went onto the NAOMI games and there is a game called confidential mission it's a light gun game but the controller doesn't work with it I think you need a usb light gun to play the game do you know what light gun would work with the game
I have been trying to configure the fake PS controllers the rero x came with just to START a game for 2 hrs with no luck! This is insane, configure in the menu fine per instructions, tried different games on different systems and I literally can't even start any, it's like the Start button doesn't work. It's even mapped properly in the quick menu that you can bring up in-game. Are these controllers it comes with faulty?
In most games only the startbutton of controller 1 works and it seems to be some game of chance which controller the scx recognizes as the main controller, Plug in both of them and switch them on. When in the game the startbutton of one con doesn´t work, try the other one. Once you figured out which one is recognized as main controller, go into the main menu (emuelec), open controller settings - controller 1 and chose the con you prefer. After that it should stay the main con, at least until it gets unplugged.

Im all set up, and I select PLASTATION .............. and it does Nothing. It says 54 games, I hit select X & A but can NOT get into the plasystation games. It will just take me to the controller menu rather than into the game listing. Do we have to go into the controller menu everytime before we get to the games?? Just want to play shellshock but cant get past the Playstation logo. so frusterating.
Select is the best button to use as the hotkey when in a game if you press SELECT +R2 it will save games SELLECT + X or A depends what type your controller is will reset the game SELECT +TRIANGLE will bring menu up and SELECT +START twice will exit the game

Hey man! Every time I open a game in Mame the system forgets the input changes I made before. Is there any way to save the config changes inside mame? I'm having problems with the left joystick button, because by default that button opens the configuration menu. And it is impossible not to press that button while playing Fighting games. it's super annoying!
I just got my Pro today and my controllers do not connect up. They came with the box, Power and Mode button just flash on pressing the Start button and nothing happens on screen when I hold down the A button. Did get a plug in PS3 Controller working on it.
Has anyone figured a solution to the controller not being able to open up the menu. Just received the unit today, hooked it up for the kids successfully mapped controller 1 then when trying to map the second controller the first controller stopped responding. And after reading some of these comments, this seems like a popular problem, just wish I saw that before buying 😕.
Have you tryed turning it on then off removing the controllers then turn it on again it will say no controllers detected then put the original controllers back in it will say press a to configure them but dont push anything then it should just say default xbox 360 controller in port 1 and port 2 they should work fine then
@@ramza813 yeah I really wanted to play golden axe return of death adder but it doesn't work. I mainly got for fist of the north star and shmups like dondonpachi Darius. But alot of roms are ass. Plus I tried to configure the buttons and it was a chore. They got screwed up! So I returned for another one.
@@METALFACEDOOMXXXX that stinks. this thing had potential. plug in and play. most good PS1 and SNES games you can get on your phone like SoTN and FFT. i bit the bullet and downloaded MAME and Golden Axe. its so awesome.
I ordered mine from Amazon on February 10th and it arrived this week on March 4th. It still shipped from China, but it came quicker than expected. Amazon originally told me to expect it as late as April 11th. Mine is the Super Console X. I didn’t know there was a Pro till about two weeks after I ordered mine.

My controller is connected but when I play n64 and choose Mario kart for instance it won't let me select a character. It reads all the other actions I choose but when I get to the player select screen it won't read the controller

Have you tryed putting the controller in a differnt USB port on some games emulators they recognize each usb port on the console as over player 1 or player 2 on controllers configuration put the controllers as player 1 and player 2 to which controller you want to be recognized as player 1 or 2
Hi there. If you have a PlayStation Classic "Mini" console, you can use one of the controllers, it works perfectly with the Super Console X, I have tried it and it is absolutely perfect, especially for those retro fighting games and retro scrolling up shooters ☺!!

Could you show me how to set up the controllers for the Genesis? I have tried for the life of me, but it's not working right. For example, when playing Sonic The Hedgehog, when I want to move right, he jumps. Or another example, when I play NHLPA '93, when I move right, the person with the puck passes. Any help would be appreciated.
That happens if your controller is in 6 button mode vs 3 button mode. I had the same problem on the original Genesis, but I don't know how to fix it on here.
