These folks deserve a 10 star rating because it takes a lot of work to repair things when they break but they know how much it takes to keep these old bidrs in top flying condition always.
right, and do not forget the many sponsors, big and small, who donated a lot of money. Now the time of the big props is most likely over outside of Alaska. This plane cannot carry any passengers legally anymore, and it would take a wealthy person to keep her as a private plane for air shows etc.
Lockheed put 4 large turbo prop engines one and they got over 400+ knots cruise put of it. But the jet age came too quickly and it never went beyond the gee whiz phase.
The crew were all airline professionals with many hours on the model, they knew the limitations of this high altitude field. There are no big obstacles on climbout. No worries.
Um diesee Tages- und Jahreszeit sind die Lichtverhältnisse gar nicht gut zum Filmen und Fotografieren. Es ist sehr grell, auch dunstig, und die Luft flimmert und verzerrt alle geraden Linien!!!
