I would love to see go down the track. To see it participate in a drag drive event would be awesome. But that would take a lot more work than just doing a weekend warrior drag at the local drag strip.

A gentleman nearby me has a 56 gasser show car/dragster that looks like it was built in the late 60s or early 70s. Corvettes have always been sort of special cars, but back then, collectors were really only interested in the 53s and the split-windows. Most of the other Vettes were about the equivalent of a C4 today. The engine sounds good! Not going to spray it???
My life long friend was a race car driver/engine builder that was deaf. Look up Ricky Klarr from Hattiesburg Mississippi. Many years ago we had lots of fun going to bars because he could read women's lip's and know what's up before we talked to them.

Zack years back I was talked into putting a Johnny Cash small block in my tunnel boat. The weight we dropped made all the difference race day. There was a mud racer we took care of that had a lenco 4 speed transmission. 😊

Unfortunately, Drag Racing is a dying sport, they just closed the track near Denver, for some reason... When I had my car, it was a heavily modified 69 SS Nova, 427 Tall Deck with an 8V71 blower on top of it, 2 toilet bowl carburetors, hooked to a Lenco 5 speed trans, with a very short Ford 9 inch running a 4.56 gear under the back on 4 link (Not Street Legal) I was consistant running 7.96 in the quarter with that car... to this day I'd love to race again, but the money just isn't there anymore, plus track fees are getting stupid... My other hobby is Land Speed Record attempts, but that is a whole different world... And since they shortened the track at Boneville, there's no point in even trying anymore... Zach if you ever get to Tulsa, I'd love to shake your hand... Have fun with that car, and nice build...
It's a really nice build but man I wish it was stock lol. It's a shame that they make perfect dragsters though lol. At least it's gonna be driven though and not a garage queen like most of em.
