Surf adapter, Suspension trucks and Shark Wheels on a downhill street skating mission would make an awesome video! Thumbs this up so they see it and make it happen!!!
If anyone is willing to give me feedback on my new video it would be much appreciated. Im really trying to find new ways to improve. Sorry for the "self promo" just looking for some help. Thank you
Ive been watching you guys for about a year now, with much amusement. My favorites are the 'you make it we skate it' series, and 'skate everything'. I'm not yet an accomplished skateboarder, but I love watching you guys try to skate all the gimmicky boards you can find
Im just not gonna comment on the typo bc all of the comments already did. These adapters are seriously cool, and as a surfer, im considering getting some now. great video as always!
It looks like it would feel a whole lot like a ripstick, and it works the same way. Works the same way, in the sense that you just carve to gain speed... You can't do those crazy spins like you can with a ripstick, unless you are basically gonna do a kick-turn and lift the front wheels off the ground... Looks like a LOT of fun! And you really can't go downhill or go real fast on a ripstick, but you can with this setup...
Braille Skateboarding Yes sir! And when I said Joust, it's not a real joust when they run Lance through each other. I mean, they only have one Lance. If he's gone, then there is no SkateGod. Just kidding. The real idea is they go on opposite sides of the park and rush full speed at each other. Lance calls out a trick that they have to land before they crash into each other. More of a game of Chicken, really. Pool noodles and long balloons are optional as long as they try to rush at each other, land a trick called out by Lance or Gabe, then dodge before they crash.
haha i love how now that they have the mini ramp they can make any video longer by going and skating it instead of just playing skate. you guys are the best
I had one two of these 10 years ago, but it used bushings suspended on a regular truck. Not a new idea, but the idea of applying it to normal board truck is genius. I fully support this kickstarter. Pumping for speed is as fun as it is on a T-board (look it up).
That turck mount though! Honestly, that turck mount is pretty cool. Looks like that turck mount makes carving super fun. I might have to donate a few bucks to the kickstarter for that turck mount.
Basically a sort-of rip off of the Carver C7 trucks. Literally my favourite thing in the world. Expensive though. I've seen one or two other copies as well. "Surfskate" is one from Spain I think. BTW works best with slightly shorter boards for sharper turning. I love 26.5" decks with it.
I put mine on my longboard and quickly realized that was a mistake. If im forward enough to swing the front, I cant pump the back, but if im in the back pocket I can barely nudge the front. Looks like its going on my suspension board.
@Braille Skateboarding you should do a game of skate with beer goggles...ps think your channel is great. I'm 28 years old and think I'm going to try skateboarding again, thanks for the inspiration.
I have seen this type of truck before along time ago. It was made for longboards but it was a different company and the unit was not separate from the truck it was called the "Carver Truck"
I was thinking that this would be such a fun way to get to school on the bike path, but then you said that. No no, I musn't let you ruin this for me! 😣
I would say a Ripstick is more of like a snowboard since you control basically all movement with your rear wheel on a ripstick where this is turned by the front and powered more by pumping your front leg
Hey aaron you should try to reply to every comment for the first 6h! Expect don't reply to troll😂also bring back #lanceroadtosponsorship and live skate support (with Lance) EDIT:AARON WE NEEEEEEEEED MOREE FUKIN FIRST TRYYYYYYYYYYYYS
Have the people who made this thought about adding an attachment onto the back truck as well in some way ? I feel like if they figured out some way to make a back attachment work well with a front one then the board would require far less power to accelerate and would then have a higher top speed when it comes to what people can pump out with their legs, any ease of use added with pumping around on this board and I don't think Gabe would ever want to get off it :P
He shouldn't be fired, just asked to be more aware of where the mic is when he's screaming, or some sound control done in editing so we the viewers have a nice viewing experience
well i dont want to be offensive or anything and I really liike the product, BUT my local surf and skate shop in germany already sells these. and i can tell that i like them because i got mine there. so that kikstarter doesnt make any sence to me :/
You are probably talking about Full Boards like the SwellTech Surfskates or Carver Skateboards? I got one of these too, but this a adapter for any skateboard / longboard or whatever. If this is anymore affordable than the skateboards (which cost up to 300 dollar) it would be damn awesome. And yes @braille .. it is so much fun to skate these (if there is proper concrete / ground or even a kinda waveshaped surface to pump up and down for more then one pump)
omg... need another video with the Surf skate adapter on the snowboard! yall skated right in front of it! lol 5:42-5:53 but... if you do it please use 1 inch riser blocks!
Yeah but pumping on a longboard with angled trucks and very soft bushings in the front will give that feel too. It's nowhere near as fast as a skateboard. You really feel the acceleration but it's easy
Was it wheel bite making you endo, or something to do with the adapter? Do you have extra risers in the back to make it level? What is it that makes it hard to kick turn, or did that board have them front/back?
