This artisan is so skilled & well versed with his tools & materials , that he can hog out the unwanted & go straight to nearly finished contours on the piece !!!
Well crafted. Here in the Philippines, we also make use of such material as handle for bolos and the blades are made from automobile leaf springs locally known as “mulye”. Thus, itak mulye is very popular here.
I get the distinct impression , by the way this artisan acts & moves , that he is not a first generation artist , out of his family !!! To me , he has grown up around these tools & materials & could be from a long line of family artists & crafts people !!!
Does anyone wonder where he got all those horns? I seriously doubt the animals survived it, but as long as he’s making something cool out of it it then it’s fine…. Meanwhile I can’t drink out of a straw because of ONE Fukin sea turtle that had the one in a billion chance to get it stuck up its nose..🧐🤨😒😞 this is what we have come to people
When you watch that Kukri knife roughing in the horn , like a hatchet with green wood , then you know how serious a piece of cutlery that that profile really is , in the grand scheme of things !!!
