No matter who i watch or how easy they make it look, I wrangle with the yarn everytime. Had given up hope that my dexterity would improve much more but this is genius & seems so obvious. Thanksssss❣️
Over 40yrs ive been crocheting and didn't know this was an easier way, that's blown me away! Thankyou so much. Proves that no matter how much you think you know you can always learn more. Much love from Ireland ❤❤❤
The exact same thing will happen if you pause at the end of the stitch before the color change, when you have 2 loops left on the hook, just grab the new color on the last pull through of that stitch.
Thanks so much! Your video is very easy to follow, I love the close-up camera details. I am crocheting a baby blanket with a ball of color-changing yarn, that had a lengthy boo-boo, so your lesson has saved me!!
what i just do is continue with my og color but on the last stitch i use my og color i do it like normal until the last wrap around and pull, instead i put a slip knot of th next color and then pull through, looks so seamless and takes less time
You cannot carry it with this method, but instead of doing it this way, just pause at the end of the stitch before the color change, when you still have 2 loops on the hook. At that point, pull the new color through on the last step, and grab your dropped yarn tail for the carry along before starting the first full stitch of the new color.
Hi Aunty Bella, l'm a beginner and l hear you are good at crocheting please do more videos for beginners to learn 🙏 we love you for all you have been doing for us❤
I literally just started crocheting a few weeks ago and that was the easiest color change I’ve ever seen. I am making a blanket and I do not know what to do with the leftover yarn when color changing. I was told to tie them in a loose knot and then somehow will weave them in. Would you mind showing me how or do you have a video for that?
Thank u so much! Ik this is one year after but,I recently learned how to crotchet and did a granny square. It wasn’t that big after I finished so I did some more but I couldn’t find my yarn. I got a different color and did this and it turned out amazing❤ thanks really🎊
my color changes always look like shit, so ive gotta try this! also, does it work w ith other stitch types like a single crochet? In the video I think youre doing a double?
Yes, you can use this method with different crochet stitches. You’ll find that this method is a lot more secure and looks neater than others. Good luck! 😊
You should reall consider making and selling the beautiful crochet hooks. I will be your first customer. I need one in every size. Please consider? Maybe even a paid tutorial???? Ijs
I love when you crochet because I love crocheting because my friend told me and I forgot so I had to look up a crochet video on your camera and I said I’m not search the videos thanks for teaching me how to crochet
has anybody tried this method for tapestry crochet? because i tried this method when following an alpha pattern, but the stitches look off and idk if it’s something i did wrong or if this just doesn’t work for that.
Does this not work with a HDC? When i pull the 1st color thru after attaching the next color it just pulls the last stitch thru (where I changed the color).
To change colour you can either follow the method shown in this video, or you can simply pull through the new colour when making the final part of your last stitch. I show how to do that in my tutorial here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3wxMQ-_Cz3s.html 😊
It does look extreamly easy... i just have a question... what do you do with the tails (tail of the new color and tail/working yarn of the old color)???
You can sew in the ends of the yarn as you would normally - I have a tutorial that shows how to do that here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gpD-ZhfZGao.html 😊
Yo he hecho tejidos desde que estaba en sexto grado me encanta la paz y tranquilidad que se desarrolla y también despierta la creatividad individual de cada persona mi projecto favorito son las flores. Bendiciones 😘
I’m trying this with a (U.K.) single crochet for a graphgan, and really struggling to make this look right - working the wrong side rows the colour change is clean but on the wrong side! The right side (the back as I’m working this row) looks messy, but the colour change is clean on the wrong side. Any tips, or is it just going to even out over the whole piece?
Have you sewn your ends in? Sometimes it can look a bit messy until we sew our ends in, when giving the yarn a gentle tug can neaten things up and make the colour change less obvious. You could also try changing colours the traditional way, by pulling through the new colour as you make the final part of the stitch 😊
Okay I've seen this a few places, and I'm so confused: what is the purpose of pulling up the last loop of pink if you're just going to pull it right out? The way I've been doing it is switching to the new color for the last yo pull through two, and I feel like it's the same thing with fewer steps? I ask not to be a snark, but because I genuinely don't know 😅 I've only been crocheting for about two years (thanks to your crochet for absolute beginners tutorials!) so it well may be I'm missing something here.
This is a really similar technique to how you would normally change colours, but by working it in this way it keeps the stitches much more secure (you will find you need to pull on the yarn tails to tighten the stitches slightly with the original technique). I pull up the loop just to stop the stitch unravelling while you work the colour change; afterwards you can pull it through and sew in the end as normal 😊
It makes sense, but what about the extra strange you pulled when you switched ? What do you do with them? I just seen it pulled behind the design. Do you tie them? Cut them?.. eh… sorry.
You would just sew in your end as you would normally 😊 I have a tutorial showing how to do so here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gpD-ZhfZGao.html
