I can't thank you enough for this, now that I know how to make these beautiful roses, I can use book pages to make the roses for my wedding day bouquet!
This is THE BEST video ever on making paper roses!!!! Super Easy Way is the right heading. Just to think that I started not to watch, thinking that it would not be Super Easy. Thank you so much, now I can do the project that requires maybe over fifty paper flowers.
I should add...that I really appreciate the clear view of what you are doing and the music being so relaxing vs distracting or obnoxious, it makes it even more of a pleasure to watch. This is a really wonderful tutorial
It looks so elegant and beautiful! I can't wait to try to make this! My good friend will be coming back from New York in a few days and I know she will be DELIGHTED to see a beautiful design such as this! I do have a question though(well a few) -What did you mean by A4 colored paper..? Like, will construction or copy paper work...? - Is there an alternative to using the double sided tape? Will normal glue work fine? Just wanted to ask. Thank you for making such a beautiful and easy tutorial!
ElementalSpidersInc - Aw.. you're sweet. Hope you are having a good time with her.- To answer your first question, you can use tissue paper/ plain coloured wrapping paper to make these flowers.www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Luxury-Tissue-Paper-18GMS-Acid-Free-20-Large-Sheets-50x75cms-Select-Colours-/390569052891?pt=UK_Tissues_Parcel_Paper&var=&hash=item5aefbacadb- Secondly, glue works just fine.I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
KirigamiArt I have made a flower as best as I could before you sent that but I will be delighted to try and test the different paper types! I followed your steps as best as i could with my materials(copy paper and stick glue) and it turned out wonderful! My friend loved the design and i owe it to you! ^^
I made some of these from scrap paper for my group fashion project and placed first in my class , my teacher said it was because of the flowers I got a 92% on it. Thank you!!
hi.. I made a red rose after watching your video.. and it was looking like a real rose.. thanks for the video.. but I didn't have the type of two sided tape that you used, so the petals couldn't adhere properly.I used a double sided foam tape. can you please tell me what is the name of the tape that you used and if it's available for purchase online coz in the place I live we don't find such material.. and please also let me know the paper that you used. I used the paper from scrap book
+thejoyofloving WOW. Congratulation. :) Can I see your ROSE? You can use pretty much any type of paper that thin & light weight. For Tape I would recommend Sticky Double Sided Tape.
these paper flowers saved my classes whole spirit week conclusion. The flowers made us be 1 point ahead of everyone in the end. Basically, we won by one point! Thank you soo much :D
Excellent. Easy, though not quick. There is a quicker method (cutting a continuous scalloped strip and rolling it), but this result is superior, more realistic petals.
You mean the "lazy" method? Well, it can be done in paper, fabric, crochet, knitting... In paper and fabric you take a long strip, fold it many times (in half, half of half, then half of half etc...) and then with scissors you make a scallop on top. Then you open up the folds and you have a continuous scallopped strip (think of a paper crown or tiara before joining it to make a circle, only this one is not pointy but with semicircular scallops). You start rolling, tight at the beginning (the centre of the flower), then looser, positioning the outer petals (the scallops) as you like. Then you fix the whole thing by stitching and or glue. You may want to curl the tips of the petals outwards with the blunt ent of a scissors or a pencil.
Catherine G Probably. But you really don't need it... There are other simple methods as well, such as this spiral one, very good! www.pinterest.com/pin/513128951268529445/
I love these! I watched this vid this morning, and couldn't wait to try them... but now that I have tried, they are impossible to make! Very fiddley but are beautiful once you have mastered it ;)
this so great and easy!!!:) but I suggest that maybe you can do more editing...because it would be much easier if you had just fast forward the part where you curled up every single flower...:) :) just saying...but ALL is great!!!! beautiful...
Thank you for this tutorial... I have been worried about what I was going to do for flowers at my wedding, have been looking for a paper variant for ages and this is just perfect! My mum has made the rose already and it turned out beautifully!
