This is amazing... Been messing about with a small inlet manifold for a little water pump: Both flanges broken off the inlet tube. Absolutely nothing worked.... Going to try this tomorrow..... "I'll be back!"

You should do testing on this like tensil strength test, rotation strength test, etc.

I'd be interested to see cotton impregnated with baking soda. I think the fibrous nature of the cotton would aid the baking soda in tinsel strength....

Is there anything it doesn’t stick to? There’s is a small Square area I need filled in and I need to make a frame because I needed at a perfect 90. I am worried about if I make the frame, fill it in, It’ll just stick to the frame like it stick to the aluminum...

If you try it make sure you drill the ends of the crack. Round hole spreads out the stress making it less likely to spread. Might have thermal expansion issues with the different materials though.

Can you please tell me the exact chemical ingredients of Super Glue, we don't have this exact brand in India. I am looking for exact substitute from Pidilite or Anabond. Loctite is available but super expensive, something like ₹1400 for just 30ml something. Though I know it's ingredients Cyanocrylate or Methyl.

In India if we don't have baking soda we use ash and super glue, it also bonds well

But it needs time to dry and is not really strong. Baking soda and super glue is very stronger than that

baking soda chemically reacts with super glue, makes it hard or dry in seconds, and stronger than just super glue.

@heavymetalmalaya it's holding good no leaks at all, I paid to remove the tire and used the crazy glue + baking soda in the cracks on the rim interior put tire patch glue on top of the fixed cracks and put the tire back again.

One guy makes a paste of super glue and unscented talcum powder, puts the paste in the crack, or where ever he wants it to go, then sprays the repair with CA accelerator to make the paste set hard immediately.
