17:17 "I'd rather break character than risk breaking a truamatized person" Is such a sweet thing I'm happy there are people who actually care when it comes to that type of stuff in things like larping😊
The constant edits to not missgender azerai, as well as drawing his character as masc, is such an amazing thing to do c: I was excited to see how it’d be done
Yea I think its a great way to separate "what you see is what you get", and "what you IMAGINE" is what you get spaces. Ive done games with similar mechanics (board games in seperate rooms to determine world politics, workshopped scenes in another space), and I think its a good method of keeping an immersive space immersive, while still granting people "larger than life" stories. Especially on a budget that might only allow for some coloured lights.
I know how rough it's been for the whole LARP community in the last few years, and I've doggedly stuck with you the whole way because dang it your shenanigans are worth it.
WHEN I TELL YOU IVE WAITED YEARS FOR THIS!!!!!! I haven't stopped wondering about this larp since her old cover video and ITS FINALLY HERE. THANK YOU MOMO :D
I don't remember when we became friends Mo Mo but this happened to pop up just now when I was doing some handsewing and I realized that I've never actually watched your LARP videos out of all your other stuff!! This was such a treat, it made me think a lot about how much we've all changed since 2019. Genuinely loved the retroactive transgenderism. Loved seeing you having so so so much fun. And as someone who doesn't larp but can LOVE making PCs/OCs with more antagonistic vibes, I adored seeing how you negotiate that kind of interaction in a larp. As someone who also makes content that I oftentimes feel ???? about the timescales things take to get stuff out the door..... I truly, deeply loved this 💜
@@MoMoOBrienouch that’s terrible. I loved that video so much and still put it on occasionally. F that guy, hope you’ve got better people surrounding you now
The cutaway art of your characters is so good! Having also gotten a new gender in the past 5 years, I am in love with how Zephyr's art was changed to suit Azrai. Fabulous video!!!
i genuinely got so excited and nostalgic seeing this video on my feed cuz i used to watch your videos years ago and they were one of my major inspirations for getting interested in rp, and now im a dnd player and aspiring actor with a strong love for fantasy! one day i still DREAM to go to a larp, thank you for the introduction and continuing to make aweseome videos =)
The fact I know the "who's the pastel robot? Don't call me a pastel robot I am a purple haired monster!" BY HEART is crazy "I'll take the puppy compliment this time" has been in my brain for 5 years WHAT
THE VIDEO! It's like a time capsule! I'm so glad it this is finished and how you wanted to do this! As someone who knew of you and then saw Az separately in 2020 during the plague this team-up is beyond epic!
Considering how many people don't "get" the whole hidden disability thing in Year of our Dog 2024, let alone everything else in that safety briefing, it's so refreshing to see people acknowledging it five years ago!
I remember binging all your LARP adventures back in like 2019 and being very excited to one day have adult money and try it myself. This video definitely brought back that excitement, maybe I'll finally try it.
I love the crackling fire behind Momo when correcting Azrai's name and pronouns like "disrespect my friend's pronouns at your own peril 😈❤️🔥" We will come for the transphobes.
AAAAH IT'S FINALLY HERE!!! I've wanted to see more of Lifewire for ages! ANd Zephyr (i may be mildly obsessed with the fishscale-suit) and Terron is absolutely magical girl Sesshoumaru =D
Genuinely, this video was the best thing I've seen in a long time I don't know if you read the comments here or not, but thank you so much for all the work you've put into your videos and filling with so much joy for the hobby. You actually inspired me to get into content creation and get into hobbies like cosplay and larping and TTRPGs, because seeing you do them always looked so fun and exciting and I wanted to do that myself, and because of that, I ended up not only discovering the kind of person I want to be, but finding the people I love the most, including the person I fully intend on marrying one day... and the joy you put into your content and your heart for creative storytelling was the first of many many dominos that got me here today Thank you Momo, and welcome back
momo i just want you to know that i am by no means one of the *real* long-timers but i have certainly been here since 2019 and. every single time you upload i get mega excited but seeing an all out larp vlog from you absolutely made my day. i watch the claws vid and the goat larp vid a few times a year, and more often than not that ends up with me rewatching a bunch of the old vlogs/larp reviews. And like i have literally never even been to a larp but your style of storytelling, your earnest joy and vulnerability when you share these experiences. It rocks my world every time dude, it's the fuckin best. your courage and warmth and creativity and joy light me up from all these miles away, and it makes me feel like i can do anything
I hope they do another run of this LARP someday!! Everytime Mo Mo uploads I find myself frantically googling the relevant LARP and seeing if I can attend the next run to experience something similar :)
I went into this video getting ready to be cringed out of my mind. And now I am leaving this video with an incomparable sense of wonder and admiration for the people who set this up. Why shouldn't people get to live out their superhero fantasies?! This seems awesome
Momo, I’ve been a fan since your first Z world video almost 8 years ago. You’ve been one of my very favorite creators since. I watch everything you put out (that D&D podcast you were on as a goblin was a highlight of quarantine for me and made me laugh in really dark times) and I’m one of the many who’s been patiently waiting, hoping, that this Marked video would come out. It lived up to every expectation! Thank you for everything. You inspired me to want to try larping and I’ve been dying to get into the hobby for 8 years but where I live is a larp drought and the pandemic got in the way. This video brought back some of the magic I lost during the pandemic, that spark of imagination that led me to want to pursue larp to begin with. I admire you for always keeping that spark alive in yourself. You are magical, Momo. Thank you for being you.
@iiiiitsmagreta1240 Hiya! The podcast was called Realms Apart. Momo is (or was I dont keep up sadly) also in a Starfinder actual play called the Atomless 😁
I had to wait until I was home from work and all cozy before turning on the video. I've been so excited for Marked for so long! While I know it was a difficult larp, I love how the organizers made it feel like a safe space. Also the bit about being aware of disabilities?
Ahhh, it's so exciting and rewarding to see this video! ❤ That "how it looks" vs "how it feels" clip is what larp is all about, it's why we do what we do
IM SO MAD AT MY ADHD. I forgot this video existed and it took me a month to watch it 😭😭 (despite how I have been excited for this video for years) thank you momo!! I now have the hugest urge to make a livewire themed playlist
I can't really emphasize enough how exciting the concept of this LARP sounded when I first heard you mention it in another video years ago. I've rewatched the Starbright "Bad Girls Club" music video over and over.... So when I saw this in my notifications I felt like life had been breathed back into me. I remember watching all of your content like it was life saving medication before I ever got into LARP. And now, here I am, almost 3 years into LARP and I see a video that was something I wanted all that time ago and had been craving ever since. It's like two halves of my life met today and I'm really, really grateful you still produced this video.
As someone who wants to eventually run larps these videos are so helpful for ideas and tips for things that make players feel and be safe as well as fun mechanics that help immerse people into the world. Thank you for the work that you do!
Honestly going into the school before you changed and then everyone coming down awesome is like all the students stripping of their secret identities for the year
i VIVIDLY remember seeing pictures from this lark while i was in middle school and looking for the video and now i’m going into my senior year of high school and watching it and tbh i’m a little emotional
OMG I'm so excited 😭 after the GOAT larp I get that "getting your shit together" must've been really hard and it's totally understandable, so proud of you for finally posting it out there Momo!!!
Momo, after all you’ve been through (and i know we only know a small bit of it) i’m so so grateful that you pushed through to make this video. i’ve been looking forward to it for years and it didn’t disappoint at all. you have sparked my creativity and passion for larp and fantasy that i’ve been missing for a while now. i’m looking forward to the future where i can have an experience like this. thank you so so much Momo for showing that feminine fashion and being yourself as a woman is completely valid in a space like this. you are so inspiring to me and i hope we can continue to see your adventures!! 💖
So proud of Momo Being a great inspiration for future larpers and to remind us that larping should be fun, safe, and imaginative! Momo you are so fricking cool as you are, a wonderful content creator, and I'm great full that I'm alive in this time line to!
Hey Momo, well done on the video - its really good! I'll say my piece like everyone else has here - your videos is the reason I started larping. I found them in 2017 just as I turned 13. I waited for SO LONG to be able to go LARPing as Covid got in the way of my plans to go to Empire as soon as I turned 16, so the wait was a bit longer than I expected 😅 I can now say, as a 20 year old, I have finally made it to Empire and I now crew other LARPs sometimes as well. My larp-iversary is coming up in September as I started at E4 last year. I just want to thank you for creating these videos, they have all been great! I hope you continue to enjoy this great hobby and I'll continue watching these videos 😁 These videos made it feel accessible to me, as a young girl, when I thought that this space was not going to be welcoming. I think you have made an impact here and helped on the way for femme and non-binary people to take part in this hobby, feel seen and know they aren't the only ones doing this. Here's to more adventures in the future, I guess! Now I'm cutting myself off because I need to pack for E3! See ya!
This video made me so happy!! Can I just say thank you, Momo, for sharing all the details of how you played an antihero/ villain at a LARP?? I've always wanted to, even in DnD one shots, but figured no one else would be okay with it. How you asked for permission, got information from everyone for how you could, in character, help contribute to their character story and LARP experience...🤯🤯🤯 AMAZING!
I remember watching some of your videos just after I first got into Larp and seeing the social media real life adventures you and your friends have been through since then? This video felt so weirdly amazing both from its genuine quality but also just the fact it did take so long that you’re acknowledging how much has changed while still showing the old commentary and footage. So glad this finally saw the light of day
This was so fun to watch - been here since the red hair days and always loved loved your Larp vids so this was a blast from the nostalgic past - I’m a big believer in better late than never so well done for persisting! Gives me hope on my own stalled projects
I'm one of the ones who has been here the whole time and am still excited (obviously)! We know how much love and care and time goes into these videos to make them awesome (as well as other life stuff just happening) and how hard these videos are to make physically and emotionally. We are happy to get the masterpieces at the end at all and for you to take the time you need.
I am so happy to see you alive and well (hopefully). Just a few weeks back I was binging the old videos to hype myself up for larp prep. Just know that you gave us all so much with your videos so 5 years are nothing.
been watching since the zombie run video from when you were in college which is insane to think about!! you are always well worth any wait! proud of you!
If you get a chance to play this character you made again, you should look at some icon for hire songs! Get Well would fit her so well!! Happy you're back Mo Mo
I remember coming to the meet up in England before you came so I could give you all some badges!! Was a delight to meet you all!!! And great to listen to all the ventures that happened!!
I started baking bread immediately when I saw this video go live. Then I watched it while eating fresh bread. To me this video is a wonderful warm loaf of bread. Thank you Momo, everything you create warms my soul
I'M SO HAPPY THAT THIS VIDEO IS OUT NOW!!! And I am currently writing a LARP based on the premise of an academy for adventurers, so I have been watching all of y'all's videos of school LARPS for inspiration :)
Okay, now after finishing the video: I loved it!! I've been watching since I think 2018, so I almost felt some nostalgia in watching this LARP video. No matter what kind of videos you create, your style always shines through! Thank you for a fun watch!
Now that my productivity twitch channel is up and running, and I have rid this stress demon from my hard drive, I'd like to believe this will open a flood gate, and uploads will get more consistent.
I was so happy when I got the notification! I wouldn’t have known about LARP if I didn’t watch the first video I saw on my recommendations years ago and I’ve been here ever since. Love you Mo Mo❤
Thank you, my dear. I mean, I just thank you. From the shithole my life has been for a very long time, like, too long, your content made it somewhat bearable. Like there was some community and activities I have to look forward to. I love you, I really do, and I appreciate you and the things you put out there for us to hang onto... I mean, take care. Since the events from the video a lot has changed, and some may be even for the better..? Shit, I would even download a ticky - tocky thing just to be able to interact wiht you, and with the ones similar to you... To us?.. And, of course, a lot of love to your friends!! There would be not much left, if it wasn't for the people that care for us. Kaza and Azrai, I love you both, too. All the best wishes, Maya from Poland!
Excuse me but can we pause for Azrais amazing bodysuit? How can one human beeing be so talentet? He did a great job. Thank you MoMo for letting us be part of your amazing adventure.
Can confirm the staff pronounce it “in-gess-tree” and 90% of UK larpers pronounce it “ing-ester” so, yknow, standard English place name, extremely clear and straightforward
This was so fun to watch - been here since the red hair days and always loved loved your Larp vids so this was a blast from the nostalgic past - I’m a big believer in better late than never so well done for persisting! Gives me hope on my own stalled projects. And the performance of Black Parade - iconic
wow this video makes me really nostalgic for the before times, your videos really taught me a lot about the larp space on 2019 when i found them. I wish i could have gone to another version of Marked while i was still in england! but im back home in the states now and wow! what a great video. Thanks for everything Momo!
I remember being so excited to see what this event looked like (since childhood me was obsessed with X-Men) and the video was worth the wait.Thank you for everything you do Momo!
this was a beautiful and lovely blast from the past, I love memory boxes/time capsules and this was a lovely lookback to when I first started watching you!
