My moms smoked salmon topping is hard boiled chopped egg, mayo, red onion, diced, capers, and black pepper. Only use a little mayo. Just enough to bring it together serve with smoked salmon and crackers. It is the BEST

It's Tuesday, February 9th here and -40 outside. By the way; that's celsius in Canada, but at -40 it's the same in Fahrenheit, it's actually classified as sub-zero. We're hunkering down and sheltering in here for the week long deep-freeze we're expecting. I made a french toast casserole and a whole chunk of back bacon, now I'm hibernating in my big, comfy bed with my duvet, RU-vid, and Netflix. Too lazy to make hot chocolate, but it's a must, so off I go...

Breakfast looks great! Please check to see that your chopped bedding straw is organic before you toss it in your compost. I used it to mulch my beds 2 years ago and my pepper plants and tomatoes grew stunted and weird. Package said "certified" but did not say "organic" , turns out it had been sprayed with an herbicide called Sencor. Stays in the soil about 2 years! Just a heads up.

I was just wondering about eggs with the cold and do they freeze before you can collect them or do the chicken's not lay so no issues. What is everyone doing in this regard. Hoping to have chickens after we move this summer to the west side of the state.
@cynthiafisher9907
@cynthiafisher9907 3 года назад
Yes, they will freeze if left too long. You can collect them several times a day. Some people’s hens will not lay because they don’t have a light. They need at least 14 hours of light in order to lay.

👍🙏🎉💡thanks I am loving the precooked sausage idea. I have been in bed for over 6 years and recently Ive been trying to find new ways to properly prep to properly eat to properly get healthier. And one of the hardest things in cooking in this state is preparing frozen thawed raw meat. Storing it in portions is so much easier than I bulk in one bag. I much rather have portions frozen and precooked like smoked ham steaks and baconand half fried porkloin steaks and half fried pounded out chicken steaks and now thanks to here Its a sausage idea. Insta pot is also a sou vid too. 👍🙏thanks John 14:1-3 King James Version 14 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Amen
