I had heard of Super Junior, only their commercial music, but this is fantastic, their voices in all their splendor. Thank you Hurraira for showing us this wonder. I think I'll start listening to them a lot more.

I couldn't bear to watch it every time when Leeteuk cried. He had just gone through a bad time but he was still standing there singing. proud of them💙

21:37 funny you said that because Yesung is afraid of height, if you noticed, his stage/box is the only one that didn't move up at all from beginning until the end. Hyukjae was the director of this SS8 concert.

It's not just that you don't have to be afraid of heights. But if it's not Super Junior, you can't design the stage as you like

I always thought that Donghae's voice is sometimes nasal because he tends to have rhinitis, especially in the winter which might affect his voice when he does high notes. These songs though... Raining Spell For Love is perfect, Love Disease has always been one of my favourite ballads, just damn they're voices are amazing. 💙 Heechul was actually not there during SS8 because of health issues, so that's who is missing there.

The ss8 stage is beautiful because eunhyuk is the general manager of the concert and shindong as the art director, ehehehe. I might be biased but personally, ss8 is my fave 💙

They always put the right menbers on the right part in a song. So I believe the song what it's appears is what it's complete and perfect. How much I like their songs!

If you want a similar song like Islands but with Yesung on it, I'd definitely recommend you check out "So I" Super show performance, it's an absolute masterpiece from the very first album! You can see how well developed their vocals were even from the beginning!

About that Island performance, I also thought the same, if Yesung was there, it would add another taste. Yesung is the best if we talk about adlib anyway. But it's suju we're talking about, even when it's just one member, they're already out of this world 💙

(1) The year Eunhyuk was in the army, the entire team had five members serving, so at that time they announced that they would suspend group activities for two years - no new albums and MVs. (2) Eunhyuk participated in all units except KRY. For these two reasons, you feel that Eunhyuk is always there. 2. Heechul didn't participate in SS8 because of his foot injury. Also, the general director of SS8 is Eunhyuk, and that beautiful stage is his design.

4:30 I definitely felt very connected to SuJu after seeing the live performances of their ballads especially in this SS5 and SS6 !

Yesung and donghae are such enigmas. You hear donghae's voice and you'd think he's straining and would be unstable if the situation is less than ideal, but.... He's not straining and it's just his voice! He is very stable and relaxed when doing high notes. On the other hand, yesung seems to always be stable and great technique-wise even as a rookie, where he wasnt always. Because of his voice colour and his fancy way of singing, you wont realize he was straining a lot (not all the time) during his rookie days unless you compared his voice before and after 4-5 years of debuting.

I love that you're an Yesung biased like me :) Also, Heechul's vocals are underrated and underappreciated ! Love his rock songs

The way it builds and is so powerful then ends so emotionally. It's beauty in a song. And that unexpected belt from Heechul!!! It does make me miss Kangin and Sungmin tho. I love listening to Islands but I can't watching this exact live performance cause of Leeteuk 😭😭 when ever I see this I remember his tragic story it was just so impossible to me to forget and I feel the pain every time I see him in that short hair because it was that erra I don't want to remember It's hard for me to get over it and I am so impressed how he fight that and stayed solid and leaded the group after his lost 😭😭 He is the strongest man I ever knew and he's my role model I'm really proud of him 🥺😭😭💙 In fact I'm proud of all of them each one have an inspiring story as individuals and as members of this amazing group that lasted longer than anyone expected (thanks to God) 17 years and stayed slay 😘😍😍😍😍

I love how you really understand their dynamics just by watching them perform hahaha. For some other sweet songs with chill performances where you just see them being happy on stage I would like to suggest The lucky ones (SS7), I Do (SS7) and Believe (SS8). For me Believe is really meaningful mainly beacause of its lyrics. It was written by Heechul and he's the only member missing in that performance so it's kind of more touching thinking of the other members delivering his words for us. Yesung high notes and ad-libs are amazing in all Super Junior songs. Before he going to military service, he recorded the high notes, ad-live and his participation in the chorus. He also sang on a song on this 'Mamacita' album, that recorded before going to army. His voice is the main ingredient that cannot be missing in S.J's songs, as EunHyuk said.

Suju LIVE ballads are all expectional, anyone who says otherwise are deaf. I don’t know what more I can say that ELF haven’t already said in the comments. They are correct Eunhyuk directed SS8 so that stage is his beautiful design. I think Donghae sometimes gets nervous about whether he can hit the note (he can) but I think it’s just nerves because in some performances it’s there and others it’s not. I am not a vocal coach though and don’t presume to know. I agree he sounds nasal because how he is holding his jaw though. I do believe we told you that Super Junior has a lot of ballads. I love how you were so honest and sincere, a lot of reactions don’t have it so never change. Also that performance for Islands always kills me cause Leeteuk crying breaks my heart

My All Is In You and All My Heart have the same vibes. All My Heart is beutifully sang acapella live. SJ-M remade My All Is In You in Chinese and imo it sounds even better than in korean. Suju is just full of everything they deliver everything

Raining spell for love, Love desease and She's gone are vocal line song. In the original version Raining spell for love is sung by Kangin, Sungmin, Donghae, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun + Eunhyuk (Yesung was in the military). Love desease in the vocal line less Kangin, She's gone is the full vocal line.

Love Disease is not a K.R.Y. only song. The original has Sungmin and Donghae as well, but in this version they decided to just make it KRY. It's from their Bonamana 4th album. BTW, ME TOO!! Hey there is a movie with Yesung as professor it calls My Korean Teacher.

All of them have different voices but all together they are amazing! and i feels different when yesung is not in that song even members says that. One of the many reason Super Junior is the legends is that they sounds more amazing live than there recording which happens opposite to others. funny you mentioned about heights cause yesung has one and that is why he is normally not lifted up. And D&E mentioned before yesung is a big help with their vocal

When I attended Super Show 5 in my country I had the pleasure of having heard those vocals live and I swear they are so angelic and beautiful it made me cry. There's something about their harmonization that sounds so much better irl than it already does on recordings/DVDs. Hope one day everyone has the change of attending a SuShow. You can know how great they are, their stable vocals, harmonization and focus and this song is remake in the previous version there was no Yesung in it, a vote was held to determine the song to be remake and we got this song with Yesung's voice in it

I've always thought that people who don't love Super Junior is because they only know their title tracks and don't know how much you can connect with them and how much you'll be amazed in all what they do. Yes! THANK YOU, HURRAIRA! Islands & Raining Spell for Love have always made me shed tears. Given that individually, they have divine voices, Super Junior, as a group, really sound fantastic (esp for LIVE shows or versions) together. You mentioned that you can feel the connection from Super Junior, you can feel it because they relate those songs to the things that have had happened and how ELF and their listeners know and understand them. They give their hearts out in choosing and dedicating their songs to ELF. As for the fear of heights, notice that Yesung is the one at the bottom box from the start, it's because he's really afraid of heights. I hope, in the future, you'll be able to react to their shows. I really want to thank you for the journey you have decided to take with Suju and ELF. All of us watching seem to be enjoying the journey to memory lane as well, it creates a sense of community that we need while we wait to be able to go to a Super Show once again (or for the first time!) SuJu is definitely a group you only come across once in a life time. Majority of the members came from financilally difficult environment and the economic crisis in 1997 made the situation worst. Most of them entered SM and started their training around 2000-01. As a trial group, they gave their all from the beginning because there's no backup plan. Their drive and crave for success become what made them unique and fearless. Leeteuk and Yesung are deadly afraid of height but they over come that fear for SJ.

They are more than reactions because the way you have insight into the songs and expand on the talent of each individual member is something extra special that other reactors just don't do or have or are afraid to say out loud. It is so unique and honest! Keep it up! I love watching every Super Junior mv over and over, but watching it through someone else's eyes and with their perspective shows thing so differently and yet there are moments when the thoughts and emotions are the same. It is truly great! Your growing love for Yesung is exactly how I and others have felt since discovering how rare, unique and amazing he is. It is hard to be bias towards just one in Super Junior so I have over the years learned to see and hear each one by one and letting them shine together. I absolutely love the harmony they have when they sing all together. Continuing to be a fan of them since their debut, I found how amazing these guys are whether it is laughing at their Saturday Night Live skits or watching their first movie Attack of the Pinup Boys. Even now after all these years I am still catching up and watching them individually in dramas, tv shows, movies, musicals, and doing their own things. I've been an E.L.F for nearly 14 years now... since 2008. And my favorite SuJu songs are ballads. My All Is In You Haru A Day Walkin Daydream Sunflower Memories Our Love Sapphire Blue All My Heart Midnight Blues Star Appears More Days With You Raining Spell for Love (original) love the remake but this will forever be Kangin and Sungmin song in my heart and mind. The Melody Somebody New Mirror It's You So I Lucky One Way I Am Don't get me wrong I love some of their upbeat songs. In fact Super Junior doesn't have a bad song but their b-sides are just better.

Here are more song suggestions: - Daydream (SS5 Seoul) - beautiful and emotional...can't believe I haven't suggested this yet - Don't Leave Me (SS6 Seoul) - another underrated ballad, written by Siwon - Lovely Day (SS4 Japan) - harmonies, harmonies and Yeye adlibs - More Days with You - the lyrics become really meaningful when you think about Suju and Elf now, like where do we go from here?
