Nah, you guys hate on grey too much, he obviously was playing the necessary evil role there, do some evil things so the game became interesting. The problem is no one was playing role with him, most of others just went with the flow and don't really act as an opponent too much, you saw how many time people just ignore Grey's chatting right? Grey was trying to get some interesting role to go against him, but no, no one went up and call to everyone to defend Blue, Green went almost mute against Grey's constant propaganda towards him. Grey play himself as a bad guy but no one came up to become the good guy, which makes Grey just really "unnecessary evil", really unfortune and awkward, but not unethical.

Wouldnt be a good community game if it was fair and predictable. BORING! Grey literally made this match what it was, and it was very fun to watch!

But also fck him, he had 1 unit to micro and left it to die to gray and he didn't think about suicide bombing to help orange or anything at all. Was annoyed.

Come to think of it, Sarge roleplayed that wrong. He should've *talked* about how much he wanted to destroy blue while attacking literally everyone else until in a perfect world they're the last two remaining.

I think they should ban red from future community games, or at least exploding kings ones. Seeing someone getting targeted right at the beginning in complete cold blood, just for the rest of the players to act like a bunch of jackals going after scraps, it's depressing.

@@Rath_9 Grey was trying to get 3k gold at the start, and failed. So he tries to rally everyone against blue, before blue can rally against grey. I think the weirdest one is teal to just betray blue, but at the same time there is the 3k gold incentive, at that point teal may not be sure blue can bounce back, looking at orange beside blue also branded as the bully, so even less potential ally for blue. If orange didnt declare to yellow right away and focus on blue, blue would survive. But orange cant focus on blue because he focus on yellow. its just unfortunate chain reaction of events for blue after red blow his base. South east alliance cant be formed, so no one could save blue even if they want.

Blue being attacked by Grey or Teal is justifiable given that it was an easy way to get 3000 gold. But red essentially wasted 2 spots in the comunity game and ruined the game for somebody else for no reason. I cannot blame an early snipe especially if it gives you resources, but quitting the game early to hurt somebody was just pointless and mean.

Besides the whole point of it is for entertainment, and I get being a bit salty if you were the one who got nuked, but as a viewer I found it hilarious, there are already plenty of community games that don't have this happen, I kind of like the change of pace. Grey and red both tried to entertain the viewers by being super outlandish, and i appreciate that and blue put up a great fight. Also appreciate purple for trying out the king buffs and wonder buffs

I just feel that a lot of the players play the "same", the flow of the game is generally the same, at least that how it looks to me. Usually the most entertaining games to watch, for me at least, is games where the unexpected occurs, and when most people play the standard way, in which they play to win, ex. self preserve and try to run strong army comps and try to out play, the most exciting plays for me is the snipe attempts and other more risky plays. I dont know, I had a lot more fun than usual watching this game that the normal community games. Its sort of like when you play one mario kart game fooling around with items in last place, a lap behind, trolling the players a lap ahead. Its fun, and theres no real stakes. Also feels like when someone goes dedede and sucks someone and jumps off a cliff repeatedly in smash bros, especially with stocks, it is hilarious when it happens, because it is so absurd and funny. I am not advocating for this every game, but I think its nice to see once in a while when theres someone or people who clearly dont care to win but having fun.

went for blue for the gold and if people are focused on something other then me than im safe, makes sense to me.

Usually in standard game people just leave weaker players alone, and it always result in those who are the weakest at the start are blessed, and strongest are cursed to die early. The match will soon be repetitive without the incentive, as being the weakest are the strategy. Now there are two choice, either defend the weakest in hope for potential ally, or take them off fast for 3k gold. With the 3k gold, going aggressive are incentivized now, and give option so people dont just try to be passive in games. Its cruel to pick off weaker player, but there is good reason now. Going solo against the world is now more of an option, instead of just being friendly only.

It's rare for me to dislike a T90 video, but that's the reason this was one. It was bullying from begginning to end.

He maximize his diplo, and I think more player should do that as Grey interaction with others is what create the dynamic in this match. If you notice, a lot of other players was just too passive. Thats why Grey can rally them up, no one else did. Of course until teal and green catch up and resist his influence. In the end teal betrayment against green make sense, thats the only way he can win. Nothing wrong with being a bad guy in ffa game, its just too bad everyone didnt realize Gray action soon enough. It would be boring if everyone always choose morally good option, and it happens many times already in previous match resulting in similar pattern where being passive give you chance to survive longest. While being aggressive result in early death. Grey success was because other players communicate less. I think the only bad one is red to just throw the game like that

It's also a winning strat to turtle up in the corner with 1400 bombard towers and sit idly while everyone else puts on the show. Those players are the absolute worst. Greys performance was awful, and the comments bear testimony. You can win a game and lose the hearts of everyone at the same time.

He just use diplo in influencing people to do his bidding, at the same time backstabbing them when necessary. Why is using diplo in ffa bad? People that turtle up are also often aimed by other players before they can fortify to the maximum. Its cheesy, but far from comparable to grey where you need to win people trust. What grey did are also done by plenty of other players in regicide, you snipe kings and rally people to be with you! He is bad person morally, but its FFA, everyone will be a bad guy. Grey is just too successful.

Idk why ppl salty with grey, he did smart and that allows him to mass gold with his snipe. His aggression against blue make sense for early 3k gold His rallying against orange make sense, as orange is a threat, and he goes for the snipe too. Not helping purple (intentional or not) make sense as there are many players who are still alive and grey and purple is not enough. His betrayment against yellow got him 3k gold, and he knows how to distract yellow. Beside yellow got wonders countdown I think grey did his best, and one of the reason the game could flow instead of stagnating in peace. Its ffa, so people shouldnt just trust easily. Its not like grey being evil just because, its for advantage. But, im sure backstab and manipulating may not be the only way to win effectively. In the end, teal and green catch up against grey attempts of influence, and resist it. Teal betraying green make sense as its his only way to win, grey only opens the chance for teal. Grey cant win, but he got his 2nd place. Which I doubt he would make it had it not been for his diplo and influence.

I can understand Sarge if it was really a Red vs Blue goof, but the others teaming up on blue while they were struggling to rebuild was really not cool.

@@Evan-rj9xy There is 3k gold, beside South West players are destabilized so no one can really be an ally of blue except teal. But then teal will be alone against entire north west players, so its an impossible choice for him too. If orange and yellow were not fighting against each other, it might give blue chance to be protected. It was just unfortunate situation for blue as his potential ally are fighting each other, and obviously teal choose the path that make more sense.

Not all heroes are the same, although how OP any individual heroes are are probably not that relevant in late game or with the average skill level in commie games...

A lot of civs doesn't even have campaign, let alone heroes. You need a lot of new heroes created by modder if you want that happens

Every civ except Romans and Bengalis have heroes actually, however Koreans and Portuguese have naval heroes only.

its ffa diplo, if grey didnt influence others fast enough, blue can also rally others. even if teal teamed with blue, the south west players are destabilized (orange fighting yellow), and teal will be alone.

Grey played fair, its just other player didnt catch soon enough that grey have ulterior motive. In diplo FFA, other player should be more worried or take opportunity. The thing is too many people just trust others 11, which is why grey successful. Its too bad that when its only green and teal that they realize grey are instigating conflicts. Thats why they resist siding with grey.

no, it would be boring. I think the settings now are already nice, as early aggression is also an option while back then its all about booming. Early aggression is not risk free though, I think its hardest in diplo game as people would rally against you. Thats why there is 3k gold incentive, so people can do it and not just die early.
