Remember kids: Whenever you go out to drink, always have a Designated Mover, a Designated Shooter, and a Designated Deadweight That Keeps The Thing in Place.
Magnus von Crumple Sounds more like getting away after a crime in a slightly broken vehicle. The mover is the driver, the shooter shoots people who try to stop them, and the deadweight holds the seats to the floor of the car.
"Please Drink this poison " I'm a hundred percent sure chugga would say this if he ever becomes an assassin (also if you know where this quote is from you are awsome)
Emile: I like how Super Sonic is mega invincible death and Super Mario's just like, "I grew-a two feet!" (Masae and Emile laugh) Jon: Well, one did come before the other, so... That was really funny! 4:20
Is it just me, or does watching TRG for a long time make you feel sad that everyone always get's pissy with Chugga for either doing things on accident, doing stuff that is needed to be, or just being pissy because it's Chugga? Cause seriously this episode made me feel like 'jeez people give Chugga a break, way to be ass holes'
For this LP it makes sense to me. He literally mostly cared about winning. whenever someone else wins he tries to justify himself losing as "You earned that win." When redoing levels, he gets already gotten stars just for points. He goes for every power up before people can get their own, tries to steal crowns, and doesn't wait for everyone else to catch up. I've been fed up with him most of this LP. Heck, Jon had to guard his chance at getting a star with the cannon because he knows how greedy Emilr is. I don't hate Emile, I just dislike how overly competitive and snarky he's been for this LP while trying to play innocent.
@@DeltaTubbz to be fair, Emile actually does have a disorder (I don’t know what it is, but he mentioned it in either a Skyward Sword or a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 video), so it probably bothered him that the hollow stars are there. Also, whenever somebody else gets the win, they did a crap ton because everyone is getting points. For the crown, Masae. She always went for the crown, and the crown is basically one of the central things of multiplayer. Also, he mainly plays as Mario (a faster than most character) and is used to rushing ahead. Power ups, they get stored. And sure, he messes with his friends, but that is purely fun between friends. And do you not see the absolute crap they give him? “I legitimately didn’t mean to do that” “uh-huh, sure” or “I became big and they just went into me, I’M SORRY” “yeah, sure you are.” “See at least I apologized” “I apologized too” “yeah but you do it with a-a-.” Masae pulled the same thing with him calling her cute, too. They try to justify the crap they give him with excuses (and before you say I am saying that, I am a kid. I know excuses, I use them.) and, if that was not enough, they basically target him. If you pay close attention they give Emile more crap then the rest. And, IF THAT WAS NOT ENOUGH, when Emile gets the top first (again, he is used to rushing ahead) they, usually Masae, say “ah- YOU-“ but when Jon or Tim do it, no reaction or a positive one. Jon wanting a star, sure he may have had to guard it, but he wanted to get a star because Masae wants the crown at all times and Emile will go for it because he is a completionist (and don’t forget the disorder). So Tim was the only one he had to not defend, so yeah Jon can’t be blamed for wanting a star. Also, when has he been snarky, from my POV, it’s all friends having fun. He is not trying to be innocent, just trying to show he is not being a jerk for being a jerk. Also, competitiveness comes naturally and strongly to some.
I couldn't help but laugh out loud when Masae told Emile that he sucks at team work... Then the second after she goes and kills her own team mate... Fail. XD Talk about a major hypocrite!
I went through the comments and read a multitude of them concerned towards the fact that Chugga is basically being treated like shit in this episode, without as much of the joking, like in the other episodes. And i got to say, i kind of agree. The way that they blamed Chugga for grabbing all the mushrooms, and said it was perfectly fine when Masae did it did seem pretty biased. And even when Jon says he understand that the hitbox makes it harder for him to NOT grab all the mushrooms. Lighten up on Chugga, seriously.
5:14 That was pretty considerate of Jon for steering away from the Mega Mushroom just so Tim could get it (at least that's what it looked like), considering he hasn't gotten one yet.
OK I want to say this and say it right: This episode had a lot of stuff happen and I can’t help but see some double standards in the group of the players. Let me show you what I mean. At 0:52 Chugga took the mega mushrooms and everyone else chewed him out for it immediately he apologised not even 10 seconds later. They continuously bring it up for the remainder of the stage/ level as he continues to apologies and explain the situation. Saying things like the hit box for the character changes unexpectedly so it can’t be helped. Later at 4:47 they get some more mega mushrooms but only this time Masae collects them all. She immediately says she’s sorry and they forgive her and the she acts all snarky by saying “see, I apologised”. Chugga then says he apologised too but they called him out in immediately before he even could get a word in. Why do they forgive Masae instantly and complain at Chugga continuously At 8:40 something else happened. Tim grabbed the midpoint flag when Chugga needed it for a power up. Tim Emits “MY bad” and they move one even Chugga forgives Tim. It was accidental but easily avoidable. Later at 16:45 they come out of the pipe and Chugga gets the midpoint (not by walking into it but by having the cannon head power up shot into the flag which couldn’t be helped because of the game mechanics of that holding run to prevent a firing doesn’t work because of the pipe transitioning). Masae complains at him for team work skills for a bit. Another double standard of getting the midpoint in which they get mad at Chugga for what was very much out of his control likely an accident but he forgives them when they do it to him. At 14:11 Chugga dies (by Jon but not important). Jon says “we’ll miss you” Masae says “will we?” kind of mean then she say’s “I didn’t do anything I was she being honest” also mean. Later at 17:30 Chugga says to Tim “you’ll be the designated dead weight that keeps the thing in place” kind of mean as well but Tim shrugs it off with a “Yeah I know”. They tear him apart (Jon and Masae for the next 45 seconds or so. Tim keeps saying stuff like “I don’t care” and also laughs but that won’t stop Jon and Masae even though Chugga explains what he means and also apologies yet again. Masae even says “that’s still a terrible word to use… and about your teammates”. Again Masae gets away for saying something mean were Chugga can’t (double standards). At 18:13 they decide that they should go back for a head cannon power for Tim. He collects it and he shoots Chugga (accidently, I mean he apologies and all) Chugga tries to get a cannon while there still there but dies. Masae says “I say we just keep going”. Difference being slightly less time on the clock but still kind of unfair. So many double standards. Not only that but at 10:40 Chugga makes a bad pun and Masae acts violent and slaps him and Jon encourages a second slap after Chugga’s quoting of what is love. The second slap is much louder and we can assume more painful. I know there friends but I think violence even in a jokey manner isn’t right. Am I missing something here because they seem really unfair towards Chugga in this episode - “they” excluding Tim because he’s the best. It’s not right
I want you to watch 16:00. Then watch 16:27. Why did she immediately yell at Emile and Jon blame Emile. But when Tim does the exact same thing she nor Jon says a word?
Neil Underwood To be fair, Chugga's the one friend that everyone likes, but pretends not to. And more often than not, especially in this game due to the heavily-oriented single-player design, Chugga ends up screwing everyone else up, which to his credit is often accidental, but after 9 worlds of getting all the powerups and collectibles (the latter of which usually intentionally), you'd probably start to get annoyed with it too. It's not a double standard, it's a mix of everyone pretending to hate him as a joke and getting frustrated with him (and the game itself, since it's such a mess in multiplayer). When Chugga calls Tim dead weight, Tim doesn't care, because he knows that A) It was just a joke, and B) Chugga is absolutely terrible at phrasing. Jon and Masae just make fun of him for it since Chugga's basically designated to be made fun of. They mean nothing by it. At 3:50, Jon even admits that he knows Chugga didn't mean to steal all of the Mega Mushrooms. It's not a double standard.
Neil Underwood They get annoyed with him because he really doesn't do too much to prevent mistakes in the first place (case in point, his constant running ahead). This combined with how frequent Chugga's mistakes are lead to the double standard. While in the moment it may seem unfair, when you look at how reckless and jerk-ish he's been throughout his TRG career, it seems a bit more fair. In contrast, people don't get as annoyed with Jon (partly because he's the one ho gets most annoyed with others) because he is either helping or harming. When he is trying to harm others, it's obvious and more like he's trying to have everyone have more fun with the game, as opposed to careless errors. To further illustrate my point, think of it like this: In a co-op game, would you rather lose because the controller you were given isn't working (Chugga), or because your teammate made you lose on purpose (Jon).
Neil Underwood I am sure you can probably find an incident in each of the thirty videos of this LP where Emile has taken a power-up someone else needed. While it is probably accidental, he is clearly not learning to be more careful when it comes to grabbing power-ups, whereas Tim, Jon, and Masae much less frequently. This is why Emile does not get as much as a pass as the others.
I can't help but feel bad for Emile. Some of the time, yes, the others shouting at him is justified, but at others, it's just not fair to me. Chugga accidentally picks up a Mega Mushroom and destroys the others and he gets shouted at. Him and Jon both pick up two Mega Mushrooms and EMILE get's shouted at. Emile doesn't realise/forgets Masae is tiny and gets the flag, and he gets shouted at. Not to mention that *Emile* is being harsh to his teammates, which although he is at times, they are for ganging up on him too. I get they're friends and they're joking around (plus it's basically commonplace for Emile to be the butt-monkey) but at times it just feels mean.
Cosmic Canadian Cannon Clusterfuck? Sounds like Jon's kind of stage. Tim's doing pretty well now. He's getting screwed out of power ups but his skill is getting better with each video.
I think that they yeeling at Chugga for picking up the Megamushrooms at the beginning of the video was kinda unjustified... I mean, he didn't pick them up on purpose, which can be believed given the reasons that he himself gave (which are true, by the way).
L McD He claimed that he only likes Jon to me in another video. But in reality he's just a really petty person who really has it out for Emile for some reason.
ritster21 Well okay. I will admit Sora seems more annoying than you, but maybe you should just lay off the hatred for Emile a bit. If you can't, you can always just make a dummy of him and let all of your anger out into that instead.
jeeze i used to have a friend that played these games like chuggaa does. super frustrating to play with, but i have to admit fairly entertaining to watch.
Chuggaa: "My momma says I'm smart." WELL MY MOMMA TOLD ME WHEN I WAS YOUNG SAID SIT DOWN NEXT TO ME MY ONLY SON (sorry, that line just reminded me too much of that song) (and I probably got the lyrics wrong so sorry about that too)
Yeah you guys were a bit too harsh on Chugga taking the Giant Mushrooms. Not trying to be that guy because I know it's annoying but still he did apologize for taking them...Now everything with the cannon at the end he deserved to get yelled at for some of it. I know at the end of the day your still friends before anyone tells me that in the comments.
I don't know why but I find Emile really really irritating on this channel or seris in general he just tries too hard to be funny, hogs every power up, is too competitive at times although the others are at times but not as much, and don't even get me started on the "fake" slapping thing, that's really lame.
Madison Shawn It's because on his own channel he's energetic but he's recording by himself so all that energy goes into the video and explaining different things about the game. WHile in this video he's even more energetic because he's with friends so he can't control himself as much (speaking abit from personal experience since I'm the same way.) He's not really trying to do all the stuff you said it just happens sometimes because he's just so happy to be playing with his friends. The puns are forced but even he admits he forces them just because he likes to see the others groan at them. (again something I personally understand)
I'm a minute and 48 seconds, and I'm really happy to say I can really hear Tim in this episode, I think he was pretty hype for this episode or something, or perhaps you switched up how you guys were recording in this episode? Either way, it's nice!
Huh, now that I think about it, every Mario game where Peach and Toad are selectable is basically a game surrounding people close to Peach. Mario is Peach's brother-in-law, Toad is her attendant/retainer, Luigi is her husband, Rosalina is her daughter... even the Mario Party games... which is kinda wild when you think about it.
Okay, someone needs to do an animation of the part where the four of them were arguing, while trying to keep the switchboard balanced, with cannons on their heads. That's just too damn funny in an absurd kind of way to pass up.
Late response, but it’s one of my favorite themes in the game. It’s also the theme of Puffprod Peaks (2-2), Footlight Lane (Bowser-4), and Night Falls on Really Rolling Hills (Mushroom-1).
I love that, around the 10 minute mark, they all basically said "Fuck, Masae!" and grabbed the flag pole without her. Even though it would've only taken a few extra seconds to let her have a chance at the top as well.
emre3 absolutely correctI can't believe that someone else realised that everyone does the same crap as Chugga on the channel but because they make sure to call him out every time something like that happens and they sweep under the rug when they do it. so to us we see Chugga as the bad guy when it's just that he's put under a spot light for those occasion that happen to everyone.
Great vid! Emile accidentally takes the Mega Mushrooms Emile: Sorry guys! Everyone else: God damn it Emile! Masae accidentally takes the Mega Mushrooms Masae: Sorry guys! Everyone else: It's fine. Ha! ha! funny! Like Chuggaa, like Masae.
My enjoyment for Masea and Jon have dropped drastically this episode. Tim, however, remains maxed out, and Chugga still stands midway. I mean, seriously, sure Chugga isn't a team player and all, but look at all the double standards for when Tim and Masea screw up. Like, seriously, you guys need to give him a break. It's not possible to work together like at all in this game, and anything that happens shouldn't be punishable. Poor Chugga, you just want to collect everything. If it makes you feel any better, you're almost tied with Tim for gnarliest dude out there.
20:15 Peach: There's another rocket! Rosalina: That rocket will bring us one step closer to Superstar Arena. Toad: Alright! Shotgun! Luigi: Wonder what's up ahead? Mario: Well, there's only one way to find out and that is to blast off!
Three years later and Chugga fanboys are still bitching about them getting annoyed at his lack of teamwork. They're pointing out a fact, and it's not like they're insulting him about it either. Plus, they're friends. Friends are allowed to get annoyed at each other, but at the end of they day they don't let it affect their friendship. It's not that hard to understand.
A bonus world? Don't you mean a Boshi world, Tim? Just like the Boshi Barrels in Donkey Kong. And of course, Emile being tactless as usual. All in a regular day of TRG.
They should've let the Mega Mushrooms get farther away from eachother before trying to grab them (though it was funnier the way it happened). Also, I'm amazed they got everything in that last level on their first try. :o
