This might be the most creative videogame ever. Every level brings something new to the table, and there's a lot of levels. Not only are new novel mechanics introduced extremely frequently, but they also effectively repurpose previously introduced mechanics in totally new contexts, there's basically never a part of this game that feels the same as the other with the exceptions of boss fights. And it's all wrapped in an incredibly polished experience with eye-candy visuals, few bugs, and one of the best soundtracks. This game has a flow like no other, it's the kind of game where if you don't pay attention hours will past as you binge through the levels.

It took me five years to completely beat this game. I'm talking all the stars, all the stamps, all the gold flag poles, AND playing as ALL five characters on EVERY stage. But in the end, it was worth it for those 5 shiny stars on my profile. And it remains my greatest accomplishment. Great video, by the way.

My cat loves this game. When I first got him, when he was a little kitten, he would watch me play this game for hours straight. Since I don’t have the game anymore (it broke, kept lagging me out) I pull up walkthroughs and I let my cat who is now 5 years old (in human years) watch it. And I bring his food bowl next to him.

I would Like to see this game on the Nintendo Switch.

God I love this game. It got really tough in the later levels but it’s so much fun. I really hope it comes to Switch.

Fun fact: If you beat the whole game without taking a hit, and getting all green stars, stamps, and gold flags, you get Wario, Waluigi, and Yoshi. They are very op.

I do not have a Nintendo Wii U (soon I am gonna buy one for less money secondhand, but in a neat condition hopefully), but this Super Mario game is awesome and very beautiful for me. It has the old-school Mario Brothers platform vibe in it, but is 3D, a bit open world and has got lots of (new) possibilities. The sounds of the fireworks in Super Mario 3D world sounds like a bouncing basketball and a shooting cannon. But the game is colourful! This is the first Mario game since Super Mario Bros. 2 with the possibility the player can choose not only Mario, but also his brother Luigi, his mushroom-looking friend Toad and his beloved princess girlfriend Peach!!! How far can we get. Hopefully Nintendo remasters this game for the Switch. Otherwise, the Switch gamers has got Super Mario Odyssee and Mario & Rabbids to play.

When i was younger, and would have sleepovers with my best friend, we would wake up at 5:00 AM and play this game for hours. We would just mess around and have fun. No care in the world, just playing mario. It reminds me of good times and having fun. We’re both 13 now and we played this game when we were 7.
