Thanks for this! I have the game for the Switch and I was getting frustrated with this. Playing in handheld mode meant I could use the touch screen for a few stars which did genuinely help. I wouldn't have thought to do it otherwise!

A couple notes for any who attempt this with Peach: Star 16: Peach's spin jump is not high enough to reach the star platform, you'll have to go around. Star 23: Peach's float makes these timed Creeper bounces much harder. But I held run, jump, and right, and I bounced off the first and third Creeper (skipping the second and fourth), and damage boosted through the one hanging from the ceiling. Just make sure you have a reserve catsuit for the following rooms.

This helps a lot, especially with the little rabbit and throwing baseballs when the thwomps are up because I mess up with those most of the time.

I would rather you use the lucky cat suit. When you need to defeat enemies, just turned golden and then wait. Even the bullies die when they run into you.

Thanks to this video I finally beat this level!! Thank you so much! I want to share some tips and details while following this instruction if YOU ARE A BEGINNER who wants to maximize the chance to beat as easy as possible. First, The video is saying that change to Cat suit after beating 4, but I find it better to change it after beating 7. The reason is that as you repeat it or for other reason get tired, chances are an accident happens and you can get hit by the ghosts in 5 or Goombas in 7 in mistake. If you lose Cat suit here, 9 will be more challenging to you because you could’ve been just climb the wall. There is no problem in 5 to 7 without the Cat suit anyway. So it is safer to change the clothes later if you aren’t as confident as the uploader. Second, for 11, you have to press dash button at the same time tapping the Walleyes to stop them, otherwise the skate isn’t fast enough to get the Star. I recommend you to press the button with ringer while you can easily tap them using index finger. Also, you might miss the skate in the beginning if you carelessly go ahead diagnally, adding a failure, so be careful to hop on one. Third, in 14, when you try to jump to start climbing, try not to go too close to the upper wall to climb, for you might bump yourhead and fall to death. That was a stupid mistake I made.. unbelievable. Fourth, in 16, while you’re spinning to make the jump, be careful not to go under the shadow so that you bump your head under the platform, wasting time to fail. Fifth, in 19, you can climb reeealy little bit and still get the star. Don’t climb too much, you can get bit by the plant. Sixth, in 22, be careful to keep horizontal for your pad to avoid death AFTER getting the star. What a dumb mistake I made... :( Seventh, best to priozise to grab the bomb to throw it at the wall. I was so nervous and was holding dash button and ran around little bit, accidentally grabbed the baseball somehow, throwing it to destroy the bomb... everything in vain... Oh well.. i still failed a lot but was a great video to follow :) Too bad I have only one extra pad so O have to beat it TWO more times...

Star 11 was surprisingly tricky, and I wanna say Star 25 was tough for me. Star 14 was only rough because I didn't go on block at a time. Doing your method works wonders. Still a great video 9 years later!

#8 you can hit the ball with fire flower from your starting position.

On #8 you can drag the baseball to the star on the touch screen. Not all characters can spin jump to the star on #16, so you can stop the wheel with the touch screen and climb up the left.

That level was pretty fun to beat lol when I completed it with each character. Yes, I did this level five times with each character. (I'm sorry.) I'm playing on the Switch version btw. Also another tip: you can tap the far-right Hop-Chop to turn it into a springboard. God I love touch controls, they're a life saver.

in the switch version, for mentions of the gamepad, if you're in handheld mode use the touch screen. if you're in dock mode, press r to use the touch cursor. also, online play of the switch version can help as long as your switch friends join your game.
