After over 30 years Charles Martinet has officially steped down from playing Mario. Thank You Charles Martinet for all the memories you've created with you're iconic voice.
He was the one who gave Mario his iconic voice, it was his idea. And, he did amazing as Luigi, Wario, and even Waluigi. He is the Mel Blanc of our generation.
@@Mac14329 Maybe the ending itself could be like a recreation of 64’s ending (or rather 64 DS’ ending with Luigi and the Mushroom Kingdom), with Mario being appreciated by all those around him for his heroics and Mario deciding to stay. The camera could tilt upwards to the sunset as the cinematic remix of 64’s ending plays, as we cut back to integral scenes/ locations of the film accompanied by the names of those involved. The very last (presumably non-post end credits) shot has Mario and co. waving the audience goodbye, just like the end of Mario 64’s credits as the cinema lights start turning, with the last spoken dialogue being said by Charles Martinet: “A-thank you so much for d’watching my movie!”
This song legitimately has always brought me to tears due to it being such a beautiful song, so I avoid it whenever I can for... practical reasons. Today wasn't a good day for me, so I had nothing to lose anyway... and man, hearing this song in such a clear state just brings all the emotions in all the places. Such a masterpiece of a song, and this is truly a remaster worthy of its source. Thank you for this. Kondo would be proud.
As someone who isn't crying at media in general this song will always remind me that I couldn't watch the credits because I would have cried back then. The song isn't just a happy ending song. It is also feels like a melancholic goodbye song that would fit in real life when something has to pass.
I didn't get to play the original Mario 64 when I was younger, but I did have a wonderful time with Mario 64 DS, so I still kinda have a fond connection to SM64, which really makes this hit harder This is a top-notch remaster from daypee! I hope more and more people learn about this project in the near future
You know what's funny. This happened almost a decade by now, It was a few minutes before my 13th, birthday I was sitting on my kitchen beating this game one more time, and for some reason I brought with me my first childhood mario plushie I got on my 3th birthday, and sat him on the table. As soon as the credits started rolling, I started remembering my whole childhood, all those struggles, friendships, and all the places where my inspiration for Mario 64 has taken me, it was a emotional moment since my childhood had some happy and difficult times. The moment the credits ended and I heard Mario say: Thank you so mucy for to playing my game! I looked at the clock and I was oficially not a kid anymore, 12:00pm hit, I turned 13!. It was a nice little way to say goodbye to my childhood which this and many other mario games made great.
Mine would be the Superman TAS credits theme. I know it's just an abridged version of Shirley Walker's Superman theme, but it's either that or the SpongeBob Ending Theme.
wow, and i thought the old version was amazing!! this damn near brought me to tears! it's like putting on glasses and finally being able to see clearly. amazing job, love seeing your work and remakes
SO CLEAN AND NICE T-T ahh i love this so much.. makes me happy to know there are ppl who care so much about these old songs to so expertly restore them......
I know I've already said this back when the previous remaster was still relatively new, but... man. It feels unreal to hear this beautiful piece with all of the original samples and everything. Although I didn't grow up with the original Super Mario 64, I did play Super Mario 64 DS when I was young, so this is still a Staff Roll theme that means quite alot to me. Thanks for giving us this remaster of a solid remaster.
even though i grew up with sm64 ds, this game still holds memories that can always look back at. nothings sounds better than when remastered sm64 music has be remastered to sound up to date
Holy... I really didn't think I was going to have so many emotions from that. Actually crying like I did when I beat the game the first time. I wasn't sad that I beat it, I was sad that the game was finally over :(
Imagine that when you die and all the memories of your life start to roll in front of you, this song plays, at first its all about your childhood, mostly happy and warm memories with your family and friends, then on 0:53 you are presented with the harder/saddest events that eventually form part of you too, then , then on 1:11 you move on, things are not the same anymore, but you feel hopeful with the new things you have learn trough life and you keep moving, you see your young adult years, then music cycles again as happy and sad mixes, then you see your new family, your partner and sons, your golden years and all the things that made your life as a whole, until on 3:00 its finally the time to say goodbye and you leave satisficed with all the good and bad things that made your life complete and meaningful... The End.
On Nintendo and Sega’s Mario and Sonic: The Justice Adventures’ final episode of Season 1, after Mario and Sonic return home to the Mushroom Kingdom and Mobius, this music and Sonic Heroes by Crush 40 should in end credits. Eggman post credits, Sonic Heroes, Bowser Post Credits, Super Mario 64 end music and Shadow (Jason Griffin) appears on post credits.
I didn't grew up with Nintendo, I never had any nintendo systems in my childhood. However, I finally had my first nintendo system in my teenage years. It's only a couple of years ago but.. I feel somehow nostalgic over this game. I love this game so much.
This has to be one of the most iconic video game ending songs of all time, that magnificent time you finally finish this game, no cheats, just by your own hand. Must’ve been nice. Good luck out there Charles.
We are all here now We've lived our lives So why don't we just take a bow Because of our memories Me-mo-ries are what makes us spe-cial And they're all what make us so unique That's why we look back at them Over and over and over again Me-mor-ies are what makes us special But they're not always very pretty But we can take a mo-ment And look back at them and laugh Some times were great yet others were tra-gic But we are lu-cky to have these things We are glad to have all the me-mo-ries and we sure are very grate-ful to share the mo-ments We can memorize all the great things and we'll never forget a-bout the loving me-mo-ries Me-mo-ries are what makes us all great And we thank you for sharing them with us We don't want to forget that Ad-ven-ture that we had (x2) Some times were great yet others were tra-gic But we are lu-cky to have these things We are glad to have all the me-mo-ries and we sure are very grate-ful to share the mo-ments We can memorize all the great things and we'll never forget a-bout the loving me-mo-ries So don't you forget about all of us and we guarantee that we won't forget about you Me: Don't cry cause it ended smile because it happened and it was a marvelous adventure we had today. "Thank you so much for-a to playing my game"? No, thank YOU, Mario, for placing me on the legit path, for me becoming the hero I alvays vanted to be...Again...Thank you... Charles Martinet... (cries)
This better play as a "kiss goodnight" for Super Nintendo World. Along with a "On behalf of everyone here at the Mushroom Kingdom, we hope you have enjoyed unleashing your passion to play today"-like message. It's so magical to hear this song without any compression!
This song used to make me cry every time it was used as credits in some old school RU-vid videos, nowadays this and many others from my childhood still jerk a tear from me depending on how life’s going

When you bid farewell to your cousin as she goes to college by paying tribute as you sing one last song, as she starts the next generation of her life, and then you say, "See You Next Time, Buddy.".
Noooooo!! You’ve really beaten me this time, Mario! I can’t stand losing to you! My troops, worthless! They’ve turned over all the Power Stars! What? There are 120 in all? Amazing! There were some in the castle that I missed? Now I see peace returning to the world! Ooooo, I really hate that! I can’t watch - I’m outta here! Just you wait until next time! Until then, keep that Control Stick smokin’! Buwaa ha ha!!
