Fun fact: there’s more edits to this game than simple player sprite edits from Doki Doki Panic. There are several music changes (instrument swaps and extended songs) There’s also animated background tiles. You can also run and turn small if you get hit (unlike Doki Doki panic)

You actually can skip past World 6 with the warps, by taking the warp pipe in World 5. So basically, you make your way through Worlds 1 and 2, then on 3-1 take the warp to World 5, then on 5-3 take the warp to World 7. Or you can play World 1, warp to World 4, play through to 5-3, and warp to World 7. Idk which is faster.

Interesting. Is this version specific? The research I did for the NES original found that there were only 3 warps. I've also seen plenty of speedruns, and they don't skip any of world 6.

@@LaserTrapProductions No, it shouldn't be version-specific. The Warp Zone in World 3 that takes you to World 5 is located at the bottom of the vertical waterfall climb part at the start of 3-1, where instead of climbing up the clouds you just drop down the pit instead and after it scrolls a few screens there's a little island with a door taking you underground, and in there there's a ton of plants, one of which has a potion, and a solitary vase pipe which is the warp. As for the Warp to World 7 in 5-3, it's right at the start of the level after going above-ground, it's up on top of a ledge to the left. It's kinda hard to reach if you're not Luigi but it's there. I don't think speedruns take these routes because the route going through World 6 IS faster, it just could be less fun.
