The game is great, but how the players said, the beginning is too big. Too much cutscenes. Too much tutorial also is bad. And level design is not so good for the first level. But the engine, graphics and mechanics are great. I hope you will make some changes about this, so the game will become even better
@@kirillheroes98 This game is so old and finalised in design that we're not considering the opinions of the public on that matter. The fan game is meant to be story driven and have tutorials and that's final. The opinions of a few RU-vidrs are not going to have us, as a team, change this design direction.

Dude I'm not joking when I say that this is the best looking Mario game I've ever seen. Not only do you take graphics from Mario 1 to Mario world, but you mix the game mechanics that made all of those games extra special. Fantastic music mixes, controls feel extra tight and all! aside from one or two glitches like we've seen in here, this is perhaps the best Mario game that came out of the fan base in years. Please, please I beg you, keep going period if I could donate I would. But this is the kind of Mario game that I've dreamed about.

I actually like this. I've always wanted a heavy story based retro styled Mario game. I guess the Mario & Luigi games filled that role, but I mean in this style!
Gosh there's so much going on in this game that unifies elements from all the Mario games. Powerups! Playable characters & differences how they play! Plot! World map! Exploration! Boss fights! Good level design!
Also I’m getting Super Mario RPG vibes also wandas voice 10/10😆😆😆😆😆 Wanda sound familiar...(faint Navi voice in the background)...ehhhh it’s probably nothing
I'm not sure if it helps but Bowser jr had a health bar on the right side of the screen, not sure if you guys noticed. Also, you two made the cutscenes shine, generally I dislike cutscenes because I'd rather just play the game. Thanks for sharing this, it looks fun.

...Huh, I always thought saying "route" like "root" was just the UK English pronunciation. It's weird to hear an American say it! I first said it the American way because I grew up watching Star Trek TNG _("reroute power from the navigational deflector to the Captain's hot tub immediately, Mr. La Forge!"),_ and my mother's boyfriend who's a little upright about American culture overwriting British culture quickly corrected me 🖖😄
This is honestly a pretty well designed game, sad that it didn't get more views... Oh and I had the route discussion with my dad as well a few years back, maybe it is similar to people saying 'soda' or 'pop' depending on where you come from?
FYI Wanda is the main character of a Japan exclusive game called Mario & Wario, the game uses the SNES mouse, Wario throws a bucket in Mario's, Peach & Luigi's head, Wanda has to move the around the level & make blocks solid preventing the victim of Wario's prank to fall & helping then reach the end of the level removing the bucket.
since no one else mentioned it I will: luigi's fireballs being green and going straight instead of bouncing is reference to the smash bros games, this how luigi's fireballs have always behaved in smash. Btw excellent voice acting.
Maybe you or Darby have played it already, but if not, you should definitely check out Super Mario Bros. X. It's got a very similar feeling to this game, and you can play as a bunch of different characters (including Link).
#supermario Very creative, fantastic (with all things like cutscenes) and cool game (with gameplay, great voice actings - poor yours throats - and #veryfunny moments), #darbyandlair. I am very enjoyed and wait for more episodes (maybe that will be a "1 of the great gameplay series"; when and if it is possible, #btg and #lair).
@@BlueTelevisionGames did have to deal with s tiny window on your pc when you played this? Cause I had to force it to a different size in the compatibility tab of the properties menu
I always used to pronounce it "root" growing up in Massachusetts, but when I moved from Massachusetts to Texas and from Texas to Washington, I started using "rowt" for route as well.
