I think that it’s main issue is other Mario games existing. I still think this game does things no other Mario does; but SMB3 on the same system…. You hate to see it

One extra life is 100 coins. Interestingly, in the arcade game version called Vs. Super Mario Bros., arcade operators could change this minimum to 150, 200 or 250 coins.
The prototype version of this game, and the SMAS remake for the SNES, both had Small and Super Mario in his old Donkey Kong color palette (red hat and overalls, blue shirt); Luigi, in those two versions, had green overalls and a purple shirt.
@@Religious_man In the arcade version called Vs. Super Mario Bros., the 1-UP mushrooms weren't as plentiful. You could still get extra lives by collecting 100 coins, but some arcade operators may change this minimum to either 150, 200 or 250 coins.
