I take a look at Universal and Illuminations SUPER MARIO BROS. MOVIE!
"or the first time, the iconic global entertainment brands Illumination and Nintendo join forces to create The Super Mario Bros. Movie, a new, big-screen adventure starring one of pop culture’s most prominent plumbers of the past four decades.
Based on the world of Nintendo’s Mario games, the film invites audiences into a vibrant, thrilling new universe unlike any created before in an action-packed, exuberant cinematic comedy event.
While working underground to fix a water main, Brooklyn plumbers Mario (Chris Pratt; Jurassic World and The LEGO Movie franchises) and brother Luigi (Charlie Day; It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) are transported down a mysterious pipe and wander into a magical new world. But when the brothers are separated, Mario embarks on an epic quest to find Luigi.
With the assistance of a Mushroom Kingdom resident Toad (Keegan-Michael Key; The Lion King) and some training from the strong-willed ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy;The Queen’s Gambit), Mario taps into his own power.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie features an extraordinary comedic cast, including Jack Black (Jumanji films) as Bowser, Seth Rogen (Neighbors franchise) as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen (Portlandia, Saturday Night Live) as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson (American Dad!, Family Guy) as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco (Green Book) as Spike, plus a special voice appearance by Charles Martinet, who has voiced the characters of Mario and Luigi in the Super Mario games for more than 30 years.
The film is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (collaborators on Teen Titans Go!, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies) from a screenplay by Matthew Fogel (Minions: The Rise of Gru, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part)."

The most newest clip that came out for this was princess peach training Mario up to stop bowser. This character is on fire in this movie I have to say!

I’m glad they released this 2 days earlier from its initial release date of April 7th. Easter long weekend could’ve easily clashed things all at once.

Can't believe we're in a golden age of good video game movies now, with Pokemon, Sonic DnD & now Mario being so good, thanks to passionate, talented filmmakers who happened to be fans. Even more surprising when a good Mario movie is done by Illumination, of all studios.

This Movie and Illumination might show Disney and Pixar of what could of saved them from failure and make their Animation change to be Great Again to be like the Spiderverse and other Great animated movies.

Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong is what I’m most excited to see from this movie. The guy is an absolute legend! He’s producing the new CGI movie teenage mutant ninja turtles mutant mayhem coming out later on this year. Can we expect a review on the channel here at all too?

New trailer for barbie just released too. It honestly looks pretty cool now. I still mixed feelings about it but I’m more open to the idea of this movie than I was before. What an amazing wide cast of Will Ferrell and Michael Cera, both amazing actors.

I definitely have a soft spot for the 1993 live-action Mario movie as well. The cast was great of Bob Hoskins and Dennis Hopper. RIP to both amazing actors. “Mario Mario and Luigi Mario.”

Actually, Dennis Hopper played King Kooper (Bowser.) Luigi was played by John Leguizamo (still alive), who is best known for voicing Sid the Sloth from Ice Age and Bruno from Encanto.

I was kind of hesitating about watching this movie because they completely change the narrative about the movie by saving Luigi instead of Princess Peach. But Chris Pratt let the fans know that he was not going to do the original Mario voice way before so I don't know why people was surprised when they heard him in the trailers. The reason because he afraid that he might mess it up and get backlash so he decided to have a Brooklyn accent instead. It was stated that sequel is coming if the movie secede also a couple spin-off with Donkey Kong Country and Luigi Mansion.

Tickets for guardians of the galaxy vol 3 are now on sale! Just over a month until release. It’s gonna be huge! May the 4th especially in Australia will be massive with that and Star Wars Visions season 2 releasing as well. Can’t wait for the Aardman short!

As someone who has never been huge Mario fan or video game fan i was still looking for this movie, because it looked pretty fun and colorful and i have always had soft spot for those type of movies and i dont wanna see movie fail. I didnt expect this movie to be animated masterpiece like Beauty and The Beast. Only thing i wanted to have good and fun time in movie theater and escape reality for some hours and movie did its job and i was happy at end 😊. Im pretty sure that kids will like this movie. Could this be the best illumination movie ever? It certainly seems like it from all the trailers and marketing. I’ve honestly never had a problem with them because they’re also owned by universal who owns dreamworks too. So both mostly go hands in hands for me.

I have seen the film today and it’s alright. But when you compare it to the live-action Sonic The Hedgehog movie, then you can sort of tell which movie is better, depending on what your opinion is.

This is the second review I see of this movie and the other one is the absolute opposite. Completely trashing it, and she also said that people who do not know the games will not be able to enjoy this. I haven't seen it yet. But I prefer to believe your review. I've just watched the movie and yep, couldn't agree more with your review, the positives, the negatives and the score... but as a big Mario fan I absolutely loved it and so my only gripe is that it's short, I wanted to see even more of it!

I’m fine with not having screen time with both Mario and Luigi together. Didn’t expect it to see much interaction between the 2 from all the trailers. But oh well.
