I am surprised with everything that happened in this teaser. I'm still 50/50 on Chris Pratts Mario voice, but other than that, amazing visuals, amazing Bowser and amazing references from the games
@@optimisticprime809 I hope so too, atleast they dumped enough money into making it visually appealing, but I care a lot more about the story and voice acting being compelling which so far isn't looking like it'll be the case, I'm just praying Charlie Day does a good job as Luigi and that the plot is fun to watch unfold. Atleast Bowser is good, but God I am so disappointed in Chris' acting here, it isn't bad but it's like they didn't try, there's no personality coming out of that fancy schmancy 3d model of Mario so far, but maybe that'll change. A man can dream.
I would love to see a Zelda movie with this type of animation. Some of those games already look cinematic image how they would look if given this treatment
Just have extreme patience. It’s coming. When you think about it there is NO WAY Nintendo’s NOT planning a cinematic universe. This is just the birth of it. All the characters and storylines they have available it’s nuts. When this film does well( and it will) just watch. Next will be a DK film, maybe Luigi will get his own, then a samus film, Kirby, and then Zelda. And to top it all off…. Smash bros film.
Respectfully I think it would of been a hard transition for dialogue for the original actor to do his voice cause Mario really doesn’t have large dialogue so I can see why they went with a more normal voice for Mario.

This movie looks freaking amazing!! I'm so excited to see it in theaters. All the animation is phenomenal and how all the characters look. Illumination and Nintendo did an awesome job!!
Crazy that the voice is not far from the voice that he did as a joke with the “It’s a me Mario “ lmao. Honestly it makes sense to go with a more normal voice, I’m just more hoping the story is any good.
It looks like Illumination is finally using the money they got from those damn Minions movies. About time! Anyway this movie looks surprisingly great! Stellar animation, the story looks interesting, Jack Black’s voice sounds great, the only complaint is that Chris Pratt’s voice is not great but it ain’t bad. Exited to watch this in April! Yeah and Nintendo is all about quality and since illumination has billions of dollars from their films and hell the 1993 Mario movie had the lowest budget than all of illumination films combined Nintendo would definitely tell illumination to have the movie at a high quality cause it doesn’t make sense if illumination just made the Mario movie at low quality and just like that as if nothing is gonna happen
The animation was so insane I forgot Illumination did this movie. Btw, I think maybe that shot of Bowser grabbing the Power Star is from a later scene, maybe the final battle where that is the one Star.
This trailer is straight fire! Literally. I was hoping for an impersonation of Lou Albano from Chris Pratt, but I loved this trailer more than I thought I would. Def hyped for this one.

I actually really liked the voice acting in this teaser, Jack Black pulls off a great bowser and Mario’s voice played by Chris Pratt is almost exactly how I thought it would sound, and I like it. I grew up hearing the Brooklyn/Italian accent voice of Mario from the live action Mario Movie (1993) and the Mario animated show (The Super Mario Bros: Super Show) so I’m really looking forward to this movie. :)

This movie looks so gorgeous! It gives me Disney Strange World vibes the way Mario and Luigi are designed, speaking of which I do think they will be separated but probably for a little chunk of the film like maybe when they sucked up into the worp pipes then they get separated and then When Luigi enters the castle we see in the trailer they'll be reunited for the final battle just expect them to be separated for the first/Second half of the movie
Great vid as always although kamek is pronounced “kamik” and not “kameek” he actually originates from the prequel game Yoshi’s island and kidnapped mario and luigi when they were babies
It would be funny if at the end of the movie mario runs to the dark castle super fast after being there longer then Luigi and what we see here is him actually just getting pulled closer to mario so he doesn’t fall behind like the co op in the games
Luigi is my favorite Mario Bros character I’ve always loved playing his games and that idea you have Cris about a Luigi’s Mansion movie would be awesome to see as a Luigi fan!
The design seems a bit different from what we saw in the leaked photo from yesterday. Peach's face got leaked today and she was spot on to her original design. And also I don't think the voice is good but it somehow fits the design.

I know I'm repeating my comment from your last video but I was so full of anxiety for this trailer *especially* the humour and Pratt's voice. After seeing it I legit cried tears of joy 😭 I felt an immense relief because it looks exactly like I wanted. No BS realism, no meteor, no weird Dino people, and no damn fart jokes!!! (course we might still see one in the movie but I hope it's subtle 😒) It just looks like a fun adventure! Pratt's voice is fine. Yes could be much better, but I'm hoping the writing makes up for it (still need another trailer)
Stars, Spites, and Moons are shown to provide Magical power in the Super Mario Games especially the 3d and RPG games. The easiest example is the Star Rod from "Paper Mario" which grants near invulnerability and other magical powers. In Paper Mario, Mario 64, Mario Galaxy, Mario Sunshine, and Mario Odyssey, Have explained in the dialog that the Stars/Sprites/Moons power: vehicles, magical paintings, planets, clean the islands, boss monsters, bowser technology, and can be funneled directly into weapons and powers.
Pratt sounds closer to Lou Albano which is an interesting choice for an origin story , maybe he'll get his more "mario-y" voice as his adventure continues in the mushroom kingdom
I like Chris pratt's Mario voice. I don't think the first line they gave him in the trailer really shows it, but the second one has a very '90s animated Mario feel
I hated those penguins in Pushy Penguins, one of the mini games in Mario Party 5. Surprised not to see a couple Giant Penguins next to the King Penguin.

This trailer got me emotionally. I just feel like they want to give us something special and the fact that Mario is so iconic in gaming it legitimizes games as art in a way.
We know though that many people are mad at the voice of Mario because people don't know about Mario's first Brooklyn accent as the first presentation of Mario's voice to the fans and to the people in general
So I'll be honest, Chris Pratt as voicing as Mario doesn't sound so bad. I wasn't expecting a sterotypical Italian voice but instead of something in line of a Brooklyn accent which I hear a hint on Chris Pratt's voice which to me sounds decent. Also since we haven't seen Princess Peach as yet I also don't expect Anya Taylor to have a super high pitch voice like in the games because on 1 hand it will probably get really degradable/annoying throughout the movie, I like Peach but I'll be fine on a different voice for her in the movie like Mario.
So, Animation wise it looks beautifully fantastic for that's Illumination, although there style is blurry/bright and gloss like for that's pretty much all or at least most of their films and its a tactic they use to hide things in their Animation. Jack sounded great as Bowser, and Chris, well we'll have to hear more of him/see more scenes with him. The problem is Illumination's writing/storytelling for that's there huge issue. They always have the most safe, generic and unoriginal stories and terrible writing for the characters. That's my issue, but I'll have to see more/watch the film to see if they actually try to write a great story and characters. Usually I wouldn't jump to conclusions on things, but in this case it's Illumination for they've always had bad writing in their films so that's all I expect from them, but like I said I'll have to watch the movie to see if they actually try or not.

Since it has "Mario Bros." in the name I hope a good part of the plot involves the relationship between Mario and Luigi. Maybe they have a fight at the beginning, they get separated when they enter the Mushroom Kingdom, then Mario has to find Luigi and reconcile with him so they can go save Peach together. I'd love something like that
I also thought this movie was gonna be live action as well and I knew it was gonna be SO BAD if it was. I was honestly looking forward to it just for the memes. But after watching the trailer and seeing it’s CGI animated it honestly looks REALLY GOOD and I’m genuinely excited to watch it.
I hope I can give a comment about how great the teaser trailer of the super mario movie and I love the trailer with great animation plus I love jack black doing the voice of bowser but chris pratt sure needs to bring more heart to mario's voice with a accent to really sound like mario plus I love the easter eggs! 🤣❤👍🐧🍄
Another thing I noticed with this rendition of Mario’s voice after hearing it a lot, he actually Seems to have a bit of a higher pitch in his voice than normal Chris Pratt. Props to him for making sure Maria’s voice wouldn’t be that deep
I think the plot is that Mario and Luigi were working with foreman spike(hence his role in the film) and they don’t like it but it’s there job or something. Meanwhile in the mushroom kingdom, bowser is going to the different kingdoms to gather the power stars for, well power. And as shown in the trailer the penguins were the last kingdom before the mushroom kingdom. So in a desperate effort, they send warp pipes to Mario and Luigi, but for some reason there sent to different places which explains why Luigi was with the dry bones and Mario, which would also explain why toad knows Mario’s name. That’s my plot theory, what about y’all?
Toad probably knows Mario's name because he introduced himself. You can see in between "This one's perfectly fine." and "Come on Mario!" where they cut the scene.

He in the movie poster as an egg in the antique store definitely the main yoshi since his egg is green (since there are different colour versions in yoshi's island)
What's so strange to me is that I think the character design matches Chris Pratt voice. Like you could not imagine the og Mario design with a CP voice. So idk the bounciness of Mario, that voice coming out of him, it just feels like a totally different character yet there's so much of an iconic look to him I can't explain it.
This is what i was thinking. His voice wouldn't sound right with the game version but this movie design fits the voice well especially the "what is this place" line
@@marisolramirez9591 exactly that's why I'm perfectly fine with it just being his normal voice,. Honestly, the Brooklyn accent he threw in there throws it off just a little bit, so now the whole movie I'm gonna be reminded even more that this is Chris Pratt
