Super Mario Bros.+ Plus is a Mario Bros.EXE Horror Game submitted for the #LuigikidEXEChallenge by SuperJasYT and LeBoi
Years ago your father worked at Ninetndo. For Mario's 25th anniversary they they were to make a remake of Super Mario Bros. called 'Super Mario Bros. +' it would contain more levels new power ups and playable characters. However during development something terrible went wrong. You , Jake', are now investigating what happened to the game and to your father.
Super Mario Bros. + is a reimagining of the original Mario.EXE where your brother who died long ago has now haunted the game your father worked on all those years ago

This game is taking more than a small amount of inspiration from the indie horror title Andy's Apple Farm. You should look into it, good stuff.

For me this game, Sonic.EYX, Too Late.exe, and Mario 64.exe (Negative Emoional Aura) are all top 5 best exe games submitted for this challenge. Luigikid really knows how to bring out the best in exe game makers.

this game is like the culmination of all the modern EXEs. It's got the tragic background of a regular person dying unfairly from needle mouse, the chase scenes from Mario 85 and it has scenes that seem to be inspired by sonic.EYX and too late.exe

Yeah, it was heavily inspired by Andy’s Apple farm and other vhs series like NM, so I can see where your coming from. Though something I don’t mention a lot is that this game was kinda a tribute to Exe games in general (aside from the Too Late similarities that was coincidence). I don’t want to spoil to much just in case I finish the game, but this won’t just take place in the Mario series.

@@peace_out_paz it’s a coincidence that you had three levels with the exact same gameplay mechanic changes ( one you even have to hide behind stuff to keep from being seen from a giant version of the antagonist, and then having a level where you have to avoid areas where you’ll be grabbed by the antagonist through a barrier, in this case bars instead of glass) in exact order, With the crushed cars in the first level of gameplay change/ right after the major entity reveal and all?

Yes the first level was inspired by Nightmare beginning and Too Late’s demo, but the second level and the level where he follows you are a huge coincidence. In fact I think I posted a image of the second level on the discord before too late came out. Edit: also there not in the same order lol, and the “gameplay change after the antagonist is revealed” thing happens in a lot of exe games, it’s a bit unfair to use that against me when Left Behind, EYX and the og Mario.exe did the same thing. Again If your in the discord I could always send you the evidence that I made second level before too late came out.

Hey, so I'm one of the new members of the development team for Super Mario Bros + as the voice actor for the main antagonist of the game. His name is The Overseer, but when he was still alive, his name was Jessie. When Jessie was 13, his father drowned him in a lake and trapped his soul in the game Super Mario Bros + which was being made for Mario's 20th anniversary in order to make the game feel alive despite a scrapped personal AI from Super Mario 64 already being implemented and doing well in that regard. Now Jessie's found his older brother Jake, and wants to play with him again just like they use to. Also, the full version IS being worked on, but we aren't sure exactly when it'll be done and ready. Oh and don't worry, we're keeping the moonwalk thing in the full version.

This is like needlemouse x Mandela catalogue. Mostly needlemouse though. Even the art style is kinda similar. Anyway, this was Badass for a demo. Even though it made Luigikid rage many times.
