breathing exercises!

Macy Fravel as I have been playing flute longer I recommend you learn one note at a time and go slowly. To improve your breathing frequently control amounts of breath you give out and blow out for as long as possible. It might get painful in your stomach area when breathing and you may move, but I recommend not doing that because it helps build up the necessary amount of muscle to relieve pain after a week or two. As I am in band and I have learned everything I just need to work on reading notes quickly to transition better and keep my head up. This will help especially if you get a solo/soli part.

I have been playing since year 4/ grade 2-3 I think and now I'm in year 9 and through 5 years I have gotten better... Probably not the best but at least I can read music now😂 trust me practice does help😂😂

+Girly Girl101 when you play for almost a year I would say, you stop getting light headed. I play the flute and I used to get light headed all the time. But if you practice and play it more, you won't get light headed

Girly Girl101 Count 8 beats then breathe. That's the normal, if you want to be advanced you can go to 12 or 16. 20+ takes a lot of practice tho.
