16:10 Idk, it is kinda disappointing that two worlds lacked not only bosses but more importantly castle levels at the same time. Not to mention that seeing the exact same character as literally every boss except the final leaves something to be desired. It wouldn't have hurt to give airships actual bosses as well. There's a reason even people sick of the koopalings in the Not-So-New Super Mario Bros games missed them in this game.
Good review, exactly how I feel about the game except the ko arena part (I feel like thats subjective anyway), sub earned. Looking forward to the future of 2d mario again is great!
I think wonder is a great game but I think it could’ve been better. My biggest disappointment in the game is the wonder effects. None of them are really that interesting or are memorable. The only one that really took me by surprise was when the piranha plants started singing. One of the cut wonder effects was for a live action Mario to appear. I wish that was in the game and I wish more wacky stuff like that was also in the game. Wonders whole identity is being weird but it feels like it’s too scared to go all the way with it. Also I know it’s been said to death, but the bosses suck. Two of the worlds don’t even have bosses which is just sad. In all honesty the bosses are on the same level as all of the other 2D Mario bosses, but I think the reason people are so harsh on the bosses in this game is because of how good everything else in the game is. I love Bowser Jr and his wonder effect design is super badass but him being literally all of the bosses in the game is really lame and the final boss sucks too. The entire thing just feels like a phase 1 and it’s super easy and anti climactic
This game did Kamek so dirty. He literally does nothing the entire game. You don’t get to fight him or anything. He doesn’t even get to talk like Bowsee or Jr do. I genuinely have no idea why he’s even in the game

He is in the opening cut scene, he shows up right before every airship level, he shows up during the final level after Bowser Junior gets knocked out and he’s in the last cut scene. I make it sound like he does a lot more than he does and I’m not even making it sound like he does much. He doesn’t do anything the entire game. He just shows up every once in a blue moon and does nothing. I genuinely have no idea why he’s even here
