This is one of my favourite themes from Mario Galaxy 2, it's so epic, I'm just disappointed they didn't play it on the lead up to the final Bowser boss in the game but oh well XD
+BCulles I know right? It just ruined it how they had that boring theme instead...I can't even remember how it goes, all I know is that it reminded me of ballroom dancing xD
ajddavid452 Yeah, I know about that x3 The original in Super Mario 64 was quite good sounding for its time actually, but I love this remastered version a lot better, they made it more dramatic and I love drama! 😄
I think this is better than the 64 version. The 64 feels more mellow, going against the whole purpose of the song. Plus, the orchestra totally beat the nostalgia. Come at me. Just stating my opinion.
I feel like the purpose of the 64 version's more mellow tone was to instill a feeling of determination before the fight with bowser, imo the whole orchestral arrangement is more fitting of the actual fight itself rather than the buildup to it.
Only because the music has more added to it- Actually WHY are you here anyways? So you can piss people off and start a debate on which theme was better? Og theme is better. This theme has more stuff of course but doesnt mean its better. people like this one because its nostalgia and that means they like the original. Period.
+123123s3 Let's out it this way: Cat Bowser is a joke. Bowser is meant to be a scary dinosaur, and he is no longer a scary dinosaur. WE NEED ANOTHER NORMAL MARIO GAME!
rrivera992011 Also account for the fact that there were plenty of variations on that one Slide theme (Bob-omb Battlefield, for one). Still great arrangements.
16bitgamer1121 or have them make a Bowser's Castle stage DLC for Smash 4 (similar to the one in Project M ver. 3.6) and have this be a music track in it.
16bitgamer1121 you don't know that for sure. they could make new stages that aren't third party. Like, I would also like to see a stage based on Xenoblade Chronicles X in Smash 4 as a DLC stage as well.
You can't compare this song to the one from the first game. Although this seems more epic, this type of song only suits this game. Same with the other versions. It's the level design.
I thought if Nintendo made an Hd Mario 64. They should take Bowser’s road from Mario 64 and the two galaxy games. Then for each bowser level they’d use one of these. I thought this would be perfect for the Fire Sea.
most of the music in galaxy was composed by mahito yokota actually! there's a whole team of fantastic composers working for nintendo, it's not just koji kondo :^) edit: like just to be clear, koji kondo did 4 songs for SMG, and 5 songs for SMG2! He did the 3 variations on the observatory & the starship, egg planet, yoshi star galaxy, and bowser jr's fiery flotilla - mahito yokota and ryo nagamatsu did the rest of the songs
I gaze through the darkness To find starlight They illuminate me To guide me tonight I know we've done this dance Time, and time again This time I know ILL WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIiiN
I have walked a winding road, followed it trail. Always coming back home, where I will prevail. I learn from my mistakes, I'll always try again. Only, one path to take, but I'll WIIIIIIIIIIIN!
I finally got back to playing this game again, so I loaded up one of my old save files. Guess where I was. I was at the last part of world 2, and this beautiful music was playing.
Like baiting is annoying. If it’s on a song it don’t matter how old, someone’s gonna be listening in the current year so stfu with this “WhOs HeRe In 2o2o” nonsense
imagine in 2069 nintendo makes super mario galaxy 4 and then that one smg4 fan sees it and goes like OMG NINTENDO MADE SMG4 ALL ALONG????? IT WAS REAL?
It has nothing to do with "nostalgiafagging", fucker. An advancement in, technological, sound doesn't make it better, by any means. Rainbow Road is a perfect example.
Sorry, but that is an idiotic assumption. Just because technology has advanced means nothing about an OST sounding better. Why are so many people liking new retro wave, nowadays? I mean, technology has come, such, a long way, so why revert back to something that was popular, way, back in the 80's? Because newer isn't always better.
"The advancement means we CAN MAKE the song sound better, not that remastering it will automatically make it better."[2] ^ that means I agree with you. I know it wont sound better, but thats not why I like the newer version. There are many recent versions of this song and, in my opinion, none are better than the original, except for this one
Man galaxy 1,2 and origami king have the best mario OST’s ever. No mario game will come close to having one. It’s mainly down to the fact that these 3 games take on a dark story and dark theme so it feels like they put all there effort into making you feel as if it was the ending of the world.
