I've been around since Season 2 of The Completionist and seeing your videos in my feed is always a delight. There isn't a single channel out there like this. Sigh... the one and only time we will have an ironic yet seemingly fitting power up that turns luigi into his worst fear, ghosts. this is why I have named a few accounts of mine as ghost luigi. only in 2 (I think) levels can you ever find this occur. and even then most people don't go for it because it is such an odd thing that is for the most part unnecessary.

Jirard, you're awesome. Your videos are the highlight of my Friday. I have a suggestion for you, a game that is a little unorthodox but very awesome. "100 Classic Books" for the Nintendo DS. It's a game that has, well, 100 classic books on it including my favorite book of all time, "Frankenstein." What I find really enjoyable about it is that it's all the parts I liked about reading books for high school many years ago, without any of the pressure. If anything, it has helped me prepare for university-level exams by being a virtual study guide. The only problem I foresee is that it might take a long time to complete, but I think you're up to the task! At the very least, you can say you've read as many books as any English major. Have a good one, man.

Nah the "Boo Mushroom" is actually the most magical of mushrooms which makes Mario trip so hard he has a floating "Out Of Body" Experience.

I personally liked the innovative wii remote levels. Getting used to controlling yourself is part of the fun and challenge.

I think the second star festival is because at the end of the first mario galaxy, rosalina had to restart the universe due to bowser accidentally creating a black hole devouring everything. Only mario peach bowser and of course rosalina and the lumas remembered the original universe. Thus the first star festival technically never happened. MG2 is essentially like a reboot replacing the first in history

The plot or more like the missing plot is a totally assumed choice of Miyamoto. I read online he had an argument with Koizumi over that. Koizumi wanted a real plot but Miyamoto didn't even want to consider it

actually, in the ending of SMG1, you see that universe get reborn, therefore the star festival was still occuring, meaning 2 takes place right after 1, you would know because the start of both games have DIFFERENT Mushroom Kingdoms wait. every Mario game does.

This is still my favorite video game of all time and I had a blast fully completing it when I was in high school. I know that Odyssey is better but I haven't gotten all 999 stars yet. We'll see if I change my mind and call that my all-time favorite once I'm done.

+Caleb Arndt I've completed the game 100% a long time ago too and I too got my ass handed to me by The Perfect Run...until I figured out how to cheat the system in one of the areas of said run to avoid the obstacles in there altogether. ;)

Hey, Jirard, wanted to let you know that this *is* an "alternate universe thing." If you remember, at the end of Super Mario Galaxy, Rosalina says that all things happen again, but always a little differently. This is like an alternate happening of Super Mario Galaxy, an alternate timeline, if that makes sense. Who knew 3D Mario games could even have deep lore... #TheCompletionist #SuperMarioGalaxy2

I would say that this Yoshi is much better than any of the other Mario games that have Yoshi in them. The reason why is because his flutter gives you more height. The others just make him go down and go the same position you just jumped at and then hold the jump button. Or maybe lower, like Yoshi's island. Furry

congratz dude! id completed the game a few years ago and know how terribly the end game is, ESPECIALY the grandmaster galaxy! (let alone the perfect run) so, conratz again! and one more thing: try beating bowser in world 6 BUT with yoshi at the end as well, gives an glitchy result..

To me, seeing Rosalina at the end of the first run alone was worth buying and playing the game. All the extra content was awesome, sure, but not what I wanted from the game. Challenge isn't that big of a deal to me, collectathons aren't that important, but they can both be very fun in moderate doses, at least to me. I want an experience, and I want to have fun - which this game did bring, imo.

Also, I don't remember that bowser's fortress was eating the comet observatory. Also, why doesn't Lubba, Luigi and Mario remember Rosalina until she shows up in person. Ok, I can forgive Mario and Luigi because, it's been 100 years/ there's a whole new universe (GT for life). But Lubba! Isn't Rosalina his mom-like figure?

I couldn't find me in this to love this game as much as the first one. I actually wound up 100%ing Super Mario Galaxy 1 - I liked it's music and story better and I didn't feel like Rosalina could have been so easily replaced by Lubba. Not that she entirely was but I felt like SMG1 pulled many things off better.

I don't even know how many times I've 100% this game. Like 5 I think? And the same goes for Galaxy 1. 5 times with mario and luigi both! (10 times). You could say I like this game a bit.

The hate against the Wii-Mote levels is bullshit. In the first game, they were NOT "everywhere". There were only six Wii-Mote levels and they were great. The controls were super responsive in these. Same goes for those in Galaxy 2.

I don't see why people think that the green stars are tedious , they are much quicker than playing the whole game again with luigi in Galaxy1. it is much tedious for me to play the same thing again with luigi just to beat the game 100%.
