I just now noticed that the box behind the time with the flashing squares is binary. With the four boxes in each row having a separate value. The very bottom row is 1, then 2, then 4, and then 8. They all correspond to the possible 6 decimal places of the time.

Seeing spikevegeta ANYWHERE is always such a joy. One of the best runs to watch are the Kingdom hearts 1-2 runs. It's always a little family get together. People sing, they talk, they play games, etc. I love it so much

This video has been catalyst for my passion for this game. I am not a particularly professional at this game, nor do I claim to be the tippy top as my personal any % record for Luigi galaxy is 4:22:19. Yet, this run had reawakened an older part of myself wen I played this game as a kid. With the advent of the Switch release, I am now able to enjoy this game both in casual and competitive senses.

This is the game I would want to play again for the first time.

I love that announcer voice man, and hearing it to explain things makes it so much better !

I played this game so much as a child. To the point where could clear the first two domes with all the stars and comets game with ease. I’d also try some tiny skips I found online like the Megaleg first planet skip. Seeing this game run is inspiring me to try the skips for myself.

I never realized that the sound effect you get when grabbing a new item is the same sound effect when you upgrade the Odyssey in Super Mario Odyssey.

36:23 the first time I tried this level skip with Mario as a semi little kid I just walked all around the boss before it activated, embracing the forbidding feeling I got just exploring a deactivates monster. I love this game so much

It's awesome to see Super Mario Galaxy back at GDQ, and with Chrism and Spike to boot! I hope this year's SGDQ will feature Super Mario Galaxy 2. I also kinda hope one day there'll be a 120 star run of this game at GDQ, but that's a bit of a pipe dream. Also, I'm surprised how many games Spike runs or at least knows the speed-tech. I've seen him in Donkey Kong Country runs (both Rare and Retro), Kingdom Heart runs, Super Mario runs, Crash runs, and probably more.

Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are part of my childhood and I love them

Still such a wonderful game. Probably my favourite game ever. Great to watch a speed run. The gravity mechanics are so well implemented. Although it is linear in places Galaxy gives you a great sense of freedom mostly. Think they should have made a Galaxy 3 and release all three in one package on the Switch.
