I think one point needs more clarification. ;) I don't mean grayed out Multi Moons in general, just that particular Multi Moon that usually never appears greyed out in the game.

How the hell do people figure this stuff out? "Hey Tim...what if we made two goombas run up the volcano?!" "Brilliant!!"

A grey multimoon actually appears in the Final level if you beat it again and if you beat a boss in the mushroom kingdom twice

Actually, if I’m not mistaken, the gray multi-moon appears after you rematch the rematch bosses.

This kind of reminds me of lava boost on SM64.

I suppose if there was ever a time-travling plot of the 3d Mario games, Mario could meet Cappy before fighting Bowser at the mushroom kingdom, grab the Odessy or better ship?(if early enough) get to NewDonk, gas up for moon travle, and wait at the alter for Bowser and the bride as they enter.

I just thought if something. The game doesn't let you proceed from this kingdom because you didn't trigger some of the events that you were supposed to do originally. What if you go back and fight Spewart and Topper (forgot his name), and see if that triggers the cutscene for the luncheon kindgom, fighting all the broodals. Sure if seems like a little sidetracking, but you'll still skip a considerable amount of kingdoms (4-5 if I'm correct). You should give it a try if you haven't

I misread the “meat skip” as “meat spin” and I got very upset when I found out it was actually “meat skip”

You may be able to skip the meat, but here is a better trick, gathering Enough moons to just leave the luncheon kingdom without even saving the stew. I did this by accident on my first playthrough

Grey mooms appear in the rematches with the story bosses. If you get it twice, then the 2nd moon is grayed-out

what happens if you get the star on the chimney on yosheys island? I would try myself but I suck at roll cancel vectors. also you should see if theres anywhere you can stand inside the pot. maybe you can fall inside the volcano?

I never knew that gray multimoon could appear! And it is too bad the game just ends up softlocking or crashing so easily! And I honestly never knew gray multimoons existed until now.

Also, you don’t need two player mode for that jump!
