It’s a relief that Ztars don’t deduct stars from you in this Mario party (they used to deduct stars in previous games) Edit: they’re still bad cuz all they do is take coins and nothing else

I always have wondered what an actual ztar would be like or do in the Mario Universe though. Would it be something that grants the same kind of power of a star except it corrupts the user of it for the ztars own personal gain or something? I know it's just a Mario game, but I'm genuinely interested in some of the strange dynamics of the Mario Universe and how it all works.

I love how the Ztar looks like it is made out of paper or cardboard, and how sad all of the characters look, like the fact that the ztar is not only black instead of yellow or gold means it is not only a fake but the paper or cardboard appearance makes it look more blatantly fake. I also think the sad characters look is kind of hilarious although I would cry too I got a Ztar instead of the precious Star.
